Why don't we win at Anfield anymore?

It's been a long time since our last victory at Anfield. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever win there again.

I think we have been getting away with it recently. We have played rubbish in the first half for the last 6/7 games and won, it seems to be a humbling is on its way. I have a bad feeling this could be on the hands of Liverpool.

To have a chance this game, we need to start quick.

ETH and the team keep surprising me, I keep expecting to get caught out and we lose one but we keep smashing through that.

Unfortunately between Liverpool vaguely getting some form back (certainly looked more like themselves against Wolves) and our record there plus the way we've been getting away with things I reckon they're gonna relish de-railing any lingering hopes of a title challenge for us and win.

I hope to be proven wrong of course but it feels like it's time.

Why? Most teams are in the same boat. The quality of games from every side are slowly falling away.
We have deserved to win every game we have over this spell and even if what you say is true, Liverpool have showed absolutely nothing to suffer they can humble us

Liverpool have 1 win in 3?!

Win and we’re destined for the league. You heard it here first.

Because Liverpool hired Klopp as their Manager and got really good while we got really bad?

The last time we beat them at Anfield we had a former Ajax dutch manager leading us. If only we have another one of those leading us again this weekend.

I've never seen us win at Anfield and i'm going again on Sunday, so there's that, i made it till half time last time.

The way things have been looking since the World Cup, I don't see why we couldn't win on Sunday. You could reasonably argue we go into that game as the favorites.

Miss that period under Ferguson where we'd rock up there and play like absolute garbage every single year, and yet still nearly always win due to their goalkeeper fumbling the ball into his own net or something.

But yeah what definitely won't happen is a comfortable 4-0 win with Klopp getting sent off for punching the 4th official. You can mark my words that this won't happen

We certainly havent played rubbish, not good in some games but not rubbish and certainly not in 6, 7 games. Getting away with it looks like we've been winning on luck which hasnt been the case.

There was a few games back even Ten Hag said the first half was rubbish.. we cannot keep conceding 1 v 1's and not getting punished. We have conceded clear cut chances in games and its not sustainable.

We almost always played shite at Anfield even when they were terrible and we were competing for all trophies. For example, the 2006-2009 team won at Anfield twice but both were cagey 1-0s where we pretty much parked the bus for most of the game.

It's no wonder that shitty, disjointed, sloppy performances no longer translated to wins at Anfield once Liverpool got their act together and we descended into mediocrity.

A nice boring 0-0 will do me nicely on Sunday but I'm afraid they'll blitz us like they did Real Madrid except we won't have the nous and ability to get back from 2-0 down.

Usually I'd be a bit more optimistic given our results and how we're playing vs Liverpool are. But I think the fact we've played so many intense / knock-out style matches lately and are also due to play another 5 in 13 days (!!!!), I can see us slipping up on this one.

Varane / Casi / Rashford / Shaw for me need a proper 5 or 6 days recovery and yesterday didn't help having to bring on who we did at half time.

To be fair Klopp would still probably get away with it. Its just "passion" and all that..

Best chance in a while will come on Sunday. Hope the players are ready.

Yup! 22.03.2015

And it is the first time since then we are meeting at Anfield in March :wenger:
The last time we beat them at Anfield was in 2016, Rooney scored to make it 1-0.

Beat them 3-1 at Anfield in 96/97 and 97/98.
Beat them 4-1 at Anfield in 1969, these were the last big wins there.

We’re due.
