Why did you start to support Manchester United?

I thought that had been proven not to be the case many times by our old friend Barca99 (who Giggzy I think actually looks up to as his role model - his change of attitude since her day is so remarkable it couldn't be any other way).

All depends really, take the likes of the Derby game coming up, was an instant sell out

People Im sure have their reasons for not going to games, who said you have to go to games to be a fan

I'm not getting into the whole real fan thing since i've made my view clear on many an occasion.

Most home games are instant sellouts yaps, but if you apply at 10am on the Friday mornings as soon as they come online (or get a mate to do it) i've found you always get a ticket.

If you were a real fan you'd know that already.

Midweek games maybe.

But for the Saturday games it is getting near impossible.(Rumour has it :) )

utter nonsense to say fans born outside manchester are not true fans.

then fans who don't go to games shouldn't be called fans either..

I think you should initiate a brawl with Giggzy, preferably in the current affairs forum. I'll support you on this.

Don't listen to the part-timers. Follow my method and you get seats for every game.

NB. if you want seats with a good view an'all just insert a note saying you've got severe asthma and can't do with climbing all those horrible steps and Bob's your uncle. (not that i'd do such a low thing myself or anything ;) )

you seem to have started one already in there.

i'm still arguing with giggzy about india and pakistan, he hasn't responded to my posts in a few days. (think he's lost for words somewhat)

he seems to have been on edge lately.

no need to get into a brawl tho.. one, i'm no good at it (may end up protesting and getting my status changed again), two, i don't really care what anyone says, all i know is i'm a United fan. i don't need anyone's approval to be one.

Ummm, nowhere in this thread have I said that you have. I've said that you constanly go on about gloryhunters - which you do, in a very similar way to Barca99 used to. And don't try the Waste line about how you're winding her up because she's not been here for about a year.

The whole gloryhunter concept is an idiotic thing invented by ABUs who must now be laughing their bollox of at the likes of you who has now subscribed to this daft method of insulting your own. Every United fan I have ever met has been genuine. I have never known anyone to switch allegiances - the whole idea is ludicrous frankly. How many do you know?

I'm one, I used to support the dippers. :)

Judging by alot of your brown nose posts on KT and in the footie forum i'd say you might as well still be one.

Dipper cnut.

;)

define a gloryhunter?

i think its people who have chose to support United because they are successful.

the thing that pisses me off - The atmosphere at OT isn't what it used to be..... last time i went people complained when i stood up at a goal mouth incident....i've had this happened to me a few times..... once a dick behind me tapped me on the shoulder and told me to sit down, when i cheered a goal!!

..these are the type of fans i hate.

anyway.....I don't have a beef with outside support, yaps for example, is a better fan than myself.....he goes to all matches.

you know....i think i've really got to you about that giggs incident, maybe baz did n'all.

chill out.......and don't take things personally, dan.

Take what personally? What are you on about? This has nothing to do with the Giggs thing and quite honestly the idea that you have got to me is as ludicrous and your crusade against the gloryhunters. I'm not taking anything personally - I just think you take this gloryhunter thing to the extreme and make yourself and other United supporters appear arrogant and self righteous nobs. These people you can't stand at matches can probably be found at all grounds that's just the way they are. Some people moan, others don't - I'm sure moaning and booing isn't a modern phenomenon. You just happen to need someone to focus your anger on, anger that has developed because the club you love has created a ground, a product even if you like, where there will be more often than not one off customers who have all probably waited all their lives to see a match and yet because they act in a way that you don't agree with you'll slag them to hell and back.

I gatha that ar Dans aint from Greata Manchesta then? ;)

'kin Mancs talking down their noses all the time.

yes, booing isn't a modern phenomenon......but that doesn't mean we should condone it.

I go to matches yes, but I wouldn't class my self as a better fan than someone who lived in Hong Kong or anywhere else for example to be honest.

Quit right, because neither yourself or the Hong Kong chap are local, you are the same, outsiders. ;)
