We should generate a decent amount of cash with outgoing transfers this year.

Questions are, who's kicked his last ball for the club? Will there be any surprises? And most importantly, how much dough will we get for them?

And while we're at it, where will they end up?

Nani - 10 million.
Hernandez - 15 million
de gea - 20 million
Falcao - happiness

De Gea will be 25 to 30mil.

Nani and Hermandez might bring 10mil each.

DiMaria if we sell probably 40mil.

RVP might be 10 to 15mil. If we sell.

Any others will be low amounts because they just are not worth much.

Dream on, he's only got a year left. £7-8m tops.

Nobody pays good money for our rejects.
It was on the optimistic given our history yeah. But 8 million is a bit silly for him even though it's likely. He's much better than that.

Quite a few I reckon but the vast majority only have a year left on their contracts so the prices will be low...

Falcao (Loan expiry)
De Gea £30m
Lindegaard £1m
Amos Free
Rafael £6m
Evans £5m
Thorpe £1m
Cleverley Free
Nani £7m
Henriquez £2m
Powell £2.5m
Hernandez £7m
van Persie £8m
W Keane £1m

Oh they're all more, but we just don't sell for good money.

De Gea would be the exception if he wasn't down to one year. As it is I'll be very surprised if we get £20m (which is a very large sum for an out-of-contract goalie in general terms tbf!)

I don't think we're getting 70m in fees.

I think this list looks about right, except for the De Gea price. I don't think they will offer anywhere near that, at which point I think we should tell them to do one. Pay our price or he gets benched for a year. Nothing against De Gea, we should just stand up to Real.

Rafael Persie Clev Lindegaard Nani Hernandez Powell Henriquez to get 5 combined.

De Gea 15 and Evans 5m, if ADM goes itll be north of 40

Completely agree.

I know sounds a pretty big amount but there's a good few players there and I don't think many of those prices are too over the odds.

I'm just waiting for the "undisclosed" after every departure !
(Roughly translated ,"we have let them go for peanuts but we are not saying anything so no one laughs at us ")

Lindegaard - Nordic Peanuts.
Rafael - Peanuts.
Blackett (Hopefully) - Championship Peanuts.

Amos - Feck all.
Keane - Championship Peanuts.

Looks quite accurate to me, probably Clyne.

Why would RvP, Evans, Nani, Hernandez and Rafael choose to go elsewhere and thus be hit - I'd guess - with a substantial pay cut? Or are there buyers out there who'd be able and willing to match their current salaries?

De Gea, who'll probably end up going for about £10m given his contract.:(

For such a low fee surely we would just keep him for a season and let him go for free. He's worth an extra 10 points a season, which is worth way more than £10m. Could also be the difference between ending the season with some silverware or being empty handed.

I'd like to think so, yes. Would certainly be the case if I was in charge. But I'm not convinced the club will act that way.

Money isn't their only concern.

De Gea - 24m
Hernandez - 8m
Evans - 5-6m

Think we'll keep the others, Nani and RvP included. The only other outgoings will be other assorted deadwood or those out of contract.

May be a point when it comes to Nani, but are Evans and Rafael on all that much?

RvP and Hernandez only have a year left - how much less would they get this time next year if they sit on the bench for another year? Could make financial sense for them to move in the long run.

I've no idea, but given that your wage bill is one of the world's biggest I'd imagine that their wages are very substantial from the perspective of the average squad wage in any potential buying clubs.

DDG - £22m
Rafa - £8m
Evans - £4.5m
Nani - £9m
Chich - £6m
RvP - £8m
Clev - £0
Powell - £1.5m

RVP is the most difficult to unload given his age and current wage.

Hernandez is a good age and if a half-decent side (think clubs a few rungs below United but a couple above Spurs) see him as a starter then he'd be excellent value at approx £10m + his current wage.

Evans and Rafael are on fairly small wages. Spurs, Everton and Liverpool all pay several players more. Y'know, small clubs like that.

You also have loyalty bonuses to consider. If a player is sold before the end of their contract they receive their loyalty bonus. It's why O'Shea and Brown were prepared to move to Sunderland and take a pay cut.

Nani, feck knows.

Overall it'd be a lot easier if QPR were still in the PL and desperately throwing their cash everywhere, but it will still be manageable. One or two might be kept though depending on other transfer activity.

Thing is most of them are worth exactly that....peanuts

Rafael 60k a week
Evans 70k a week
I think... So fairly hefty contracts... Though nothing like Rvp on 250k

Spurs wouldn't see Hernandez as a starter and (and thus be willing to pay £10m + his current wage), so I doubt that all these alleged clubs who are apparently several rungs above Spurs, and who mostly will have substantially less income than Spurs, would be interested at the price quoted.

And what do you mean by "fairly small wages" in relation to Evans and Rafael? The wages concerned are, I'd guess, a huge amount for most clubs outside of the Prem's top 6 and across Europe.

Yes, loyalty bonuses are a consideration, but you may well have to offer most of these players for virtually nothing to get any buying club to actually bite.

Nani/Hernandez - We'll use the money from DDG to pay other clubs to use them.

Hernandez is more than good enough for a side at Spurs' level but it obviously comes down to which of those sides are in the market for a striker. Hernandez would have been a starter at Spurs prior to Kane's emergence, which let's not forget was because Adebayor and Soldado were stinking up the place. Hernandez is superior to both of those except arguably on the rare occasions Adebayor is playing for a new contract. He would also score goals galore for top 3-6 teams in Spain or Italy.

Evans and Rafael are on about 60k supposedly. That's the kind of wages Newcastle pay to some fairly dross players. West Ham keep bigging up their financial power too. I think those kind of clubs would be interested for a few mil. Everton, Spurs and Liverpool would also be naive to turn their noses up to players. We rarely sell to Spurs or Liverpool but Everton have taken a fair few of our cast offs in the past.

I agree though I don't expect much of a fee for Evans or Rafael. Five million would be satisfying, if there is little interest it could be even less.

Your rationale is not convincing. As I've said, I'd be surprised if you managed to move on most of these players unless you offer them for very little. That's the downside of paying them far higher wages than most clubs would or could.

Complete myth.

When a player is sold without putting a transfer request in, they are entitled to a compensation fee based on the remainder of their contract.

You don't just offer a player a 5 year contract for £100,000 a week and decide to sell him to someone a year later who is only offering him £60k and say "phew thank god we don't have to pay him the rest of his contract".

If we get over £3m for Rafa, I'll eat Paddy Ashdowns hat. Who's going to buy him, even for £3m?

Yeah I think this about right, RVP though might have to go for free given how much we pay him, also think Lingard might go for about £3 million, may get a bit more for Evans too.

It will be a shame of Hernandez goes for £8m, he's a proven goalscorer at the highest level. Should be fetching at least double that based on his ability, given today's prices
