Who is your preferred option for the RW spot?

Mount
Greenwood
Antony
Sancho
Rashford
Garnacho
Pellistri
Bruno
Amad

I wouldn't mind a reset with Greenwood and Antony dropped if it meant Mount gets allocated to the RW position. He can get into spaces where he can create like Antony/Bruno/Sancho and he also has the work rate to get back and defend like Antony and Bruno too.

In terms of attack, defence and transitions I actually think he's the best RW we have.

it just need Ten Hag to have the will to do it and concede that Mount doesn't need to start every game in CM with Casemiro now that we have Amrabat and Eriksen here and hopefully in decent form.

Hojlund
Rashford Fernandes Mount
Casemiro Amrabat
Dalot Martinez Varane AWB
Onana

Pellistri and Amad must be allowed to fight it out for this spot this season. Mount was bought in as a central midfielder, thats where we need him.

Antony, Sancho, Amad, Pellistri. In that order.

Bruno is a terrible option, he has no ball-carrying skills.

With all things going on recently...

1. Diallo
2. Pellistri
3. Mount or Bruno (they are not wingers but I feel this could be the likely option)

We should recruit at Britain First. They seem to be specialized on the right wing.

I'll get my coat.

If we assume Antony won't return, I suspect we'll see Mount there. Rather see him out wide than Bruno.

We'll need to be on the market for a right sided attacker next summer though(and we might have enough funds if the Antony/Sancho stuff kills us for FFP).

Bruno / Mount at this point.

Mount at #10 and Bruno out wide.

Diallo, Pellistri, Mount. In that order. I wouldn't mind seeing Garnacho to try right wing. Sancho first choice if he fixes his beef with ETH. I'm writing off Antony after recent domestic abuse violations piling up...

We're running out of options fast with probably a couple of hundred million pounds worth of talent either accused of abuse or accused of laziness and at odds with the manager.

Our options seem to be:

Mount
Bruno
Pellestri
Amad

Not exactly an exciting prospect as I think the first two don't really fit and the second two aren't really good enough.

We should try Bruno on that right, but only because Eriksen is playing some sweet football and it's a shame not playing him more.

I'd try Casemiro Amrabat middle.

Eriksen in front

Bruno right - Rashford left

Hojlund up front.

Then, after 60-70 minutes, try Pellistri on the right and put Bruno back to his natural position.

Yes that would be the best option and Mount could also play that nr 10 role. At Ajax Ten Hag had Ziyech in a similar playmaker role on the right in the year he reached the CL semi final. Ziyech excelled in that role and was the main playmaker for the team.

It's gonna be Bruno but I believe Rashford is the best option. The problem is he seems to have no interest to play anywhere except on the left these days.

I’d prefer Mount once he’s fit but I have a feeling it may be Rashy with Garnacho on the left

I bet that Sancho is kicking himself he didn’t just knuckle down

Play with a RW conspicuously missing, position is cursed.

I'd like to see Pellistri get a chance to start 2 or 3 games in a row at some point to see if he can stake his claim, but realistically Bruno is probably a better bet at RW with no Mount, Antony, and possibly Sancho(?). Obviously it should be Sancho if he can pull his head out of his arse for long enough to earn the spot but it's not obvious that it will happen at this point.

If we assumed no Sancho for a while (I hope it's not the case) then we could try:

Martial Hojlund
Rashford Amrabat Casemiro Bruno

Or

Hojlund
Rashford Eriksen Bruno
Amrabat Casemiro

If Amrabat has family matters to attend to or anything then perhaps Mejbri could get a run out, or perhaps just go with Pellistri/ Garnacho on the right.

Hope Pellistri gets a chance and we try to bring Sancho back.

I can see ETH playing Rashford out there and annoying the player and fans but perhaps his record last season will mean he stays left, I hope so. With Hojlund though Rashford can do a good job on the right, he provided some goals for Cavani from the right and can score well from there even like last season if in the mood. He can quickly get disillusioned and doesn't want to perform there and get stuck on the right. Probably see Mount and Bruno being used as well.

Unfortunately Pellistri, Sancho will be seen as lightweight.

Front 4?

Rashford -Hojlund - Mount/Pellistri
Bruno

Amad/Garnacho/Martial fill in.

If Hojlund hits the ground running and Mount finds his legs after the small injury maybe we can be ok....

Have Garnacho played on the right before? I would prefer to keep Rashford on the left.

The answer should be the one that is in the best shape physically and mentally and is available. In that regard, there is only Pellestri currently. I think he needs to be given a chance to show what he can do and rotate him with Mount who is the closest to being fit of the other options. He’s also the only one that’s gone away on international duty and played so that will aid his sharpness.

If we play Amrabat - Casemiro at the base of midfield then playing Rashford - Eriksen - Bruno ahead of them (thus pushing Eriksen forward) could give us a lot more ball control and creativity in the final third.

And with Hojlund up front I think there will be much a much better outlet for Bruno’s crosses from the right.

Maybe it won’t work, but I’d love to see it once or twice.

When everybody is healthy - Mount starting with Pellistri and Amad as subs. With more experience, over the length of season one of Amad or Pellistri hopefully able to start

Garnacho - The best option

Antony - Not very good and a definite no right now
Bruno - Better in the middle
Mount - Same
Sancho - Better on the bench
Amad - Substitute
Pellistri - Substitute
Rashford - Should be on the left

Hojlund is the unknown here...does he transform the front line?

If so then Pellistri getting to the touchline and getting balls into the box seems like a plan that might work well with Hojlund.

Rashford will have his blinkers on from the LW so more of a provider from the RW would give it some balance.

Sancho has pissed me off recently so he can go on another health break until Jan.

Id lke to see Pellestri and Amad get a run of games (You need 6-10 starts ideally consequtivel)y on RW. If Sancho is to be kept on, then him also. ETH seems to have a preference for inverted wingers, however as we dont have a RB of sufficient quality to compliment our attack, id hope he drops the inverted winger idea and gives the guys mentioned a chance.

No easy solutions, with possibly both Sancho and Antony not available for selection. A bad design from the start, made even worse by circumstances. The whole thing could force ETH to rethink his game plan in that area of the pitch, but the problem is that he found himself in this cul-de-sac in the first place because he was trying to combine pieces that don't quite fit together.

Feel like pairing AWB with anyone is going to be a drawback. Really we need a much better RB in the long run before we think about making changes at RW.

Poor excuse. AWB has outperformed any right winger put ahead of him in the last 18 months.

Actually, if we had a right winger like Greenwood, for example, who is actually productive in the final third, Wan-Bissaka's attacking flaws (although I do think they are overstated) would hardly be noticed. Fact is, Antony has very little end product.

I don't get the clamour for Amad. He did sod all with the blue bigots in the Scots Prem then had one good season in the second division with Sunderland and apparently he's now good enough to be our starting right winger. It went on all summer on twitter too. From what I've seen of him he's shaping up well but he's not ready to be the first choice starter and I thought he'd go out on loan again if he hadn't got injured.
