Who hates us the most?

Interesting that this thread has turned from who hates you the most as to why.

" other reasons why we are hated..other than the success we've had:

richest club in the land.

biggest stadium

largest support in the UK and worldwide."

Why on earth would you be hated for any of those.?

You are continually 'peeved ' that Liverpool's phenomenal successful side of the 80's is NOT hated .

Maybe after looking at these replies you'll all notice one word that is perenially absent from anything connected with Manchester United , even when you're winning. losing. relegated or title winners

C L A S S .

For all the things you do have Class is unfortunately the one thing you DONT .

It is indefinable and I admit a little mysterious but you simply do not possess it and it pisses you off no end .

It's one thing that almost every other club in the land to some degree has . Add to that a little humility and you can see pretty clearly why NOT in Bolton NOT just up the road but world wide for all your success you are unmercifully laughed at and yes the world waits patiently for another small clanger on which to uproariously rejoice come it from SAF or the renowned author- Keane , or any other quarter

These two exemplify almost everything that is wrong about Manchester United .

Roll on this season my friends, judged by your own standards you probably all think you'll be really popular come May .

Again another misconception , the hating of Manchester United has nothing to do with their success.

Rich! an arsenal fan talking about class! You lot wanna get real. Media partners and their like are still about with piles of money and TV contracts. We already have talk of the 'north Atlantic League' in other words breakaways could be a reality. Some clubs, including yours, will not be talked down to or dictated to by the arrogant pseudo public servant, give me some power, types at the FA, especially when they are responsible (like india at cricket) for producing most of the interest in club football! What exactly can any FA do in the real world? Ban us? oh yeah! sure. You wanna grow up, son, and realise in your childish world that success breeds only jealousy wherever it appears.

It's all down to jealousy and the fact that United are the only club in the country who actually do have class. :)

Ridiculous to say United don't have class. I think Arsenal have no class whatever, but at least I know it's bias which makes me say so.

Oh yes they were. You fail to see the impact of the advent of the internet and the fundamental change in British sports reporting. Now everything's a story, and news is disseminated faster than ever before. I can tell you that those who followed footie in the 80s hated Liverpool. Its just that now even the chap who can't give a shit about footie jumps on the band wagon and hates United.

And as for class, it wasn't so long ago that Arse N Wanker was slated for having lost it, for keeping his faith with Viera, for saying stupid shit like "our players get sent off cos our pitch is too small".

Hugely respectful light? I remember Liverpool as being cheats, which they still are today. Owen dives, Henchoz handles the ball whenever the ref isn't looking, and old Gary Macallister won penalties with beautiful gymnastics from outside the box.

Like I said, you people swallow everything the papers say. Class, in my opinion, consists of ignoring whatever shit the media conjures up and getting on with what you're doing. Which, IMO, is exactly what United are doing and have always done.

basis you have a great side and play brilliant football , and a manager who has done it all and brought you the glory your FOOTBALL deserves. For that I have untold respect and admiration for Manchester United as a football team .

But surrounding those facts are that as people, as a club, you cannot do anything nicely , with some humility, a bit of dignity, you belittle the slightest success that anyone else has and in short are percieved as the the most unsavoury lot in the game .

Of course if you want people to disagree with that all say YEAH 'Gooner git' load of shit , All together now ....insults venacular etc etc ...

Course I could be wrong, however I'm sure a few million others are'nt.

Would you say you are universally admired and respected then across the footballing world.?

Manchester United will always be hated. They have a history like no other club.
Winning the league title after only 6 years in the top flight. Changing football for ever when Busy brought in youngsters and threw out the notion that older players will aways be better.
Being the 1st team to win in Europe after the ban.
More recently almost total domination of domestic football since the premiership began.
And finally being the first club to win the treble.
We've always have fiery players, and ones that have cause controversy. Best, Robson, Cantona, Keane. We're a big club, we've always been a big club and big clubs are always hated.
Success bring jealousy and jealously brings hatred

Humility , dignity , the ability to take in the word of another (wether friend or foe) is the mark a man, in my eyes at least .

I think topics such as these have no class.

People just love to hate Manchester United and climb on the band-wagon.

For every Manchester United supporter who is perceived as lacking in humility, dignity whatever, you will find a Liverpool supporter who is just the same. And an Arsenal supporter. And a supporter of every team in the country.

Manchester United might have more of those type because they have more supporters.

Every criticism that has been thrown at United supporters can be applied to other supporters - the arrogance, the whinging etc. Anyone who says differently is fooling himself.

And most footballers are the same as well, whoever they play for.

As ever Livvie a very good point you make - sheer greater weight of numbers supporting Man Utd will inevitably mean more pratts prevail .

Maybe I should have ignored this thread as it glorifies in the 'how much are we hated cos we are so great vibe'

That question in itself reveals something I feel .

Interesting to note that of the many different message boards I frequent this is uniquely the only one to ask itself that specific question !!
