Which United CB will leave before deadline day?

With how sentimental the club is, Jones and Smalling wont be going anywhere, my guess is Baily or Rojo. But even then, I doubt even those 2 will be moved on

in order of uselessness

1 Rojo
2 Bailly
3 Smalling/Jones - hard to separate these two - Jones is the better defender, injured more often but Smalling is quicker and better in the air

Rojo has been stealing a living at United - if we can't sell deffo loan

None. We've been trying to flog Rojo for years, but he's injury prone and on high wages.

Think we have to get used to fringe players leaving on a free.

My guess is that we'd ideally like to move Bailly on as well, but with his injury there's no way he'll be going anywhere.

Smalling and Jones can be kept as backups for the homegrown quota.

Our centre backs pecking order is now.

Lindelof/Smalling - Maguire
Tuanzebe - Jones (when fit)
Bailly - Rojo

So with Bailly's injury that leaves Rojo as the obvious candidate to leave. But with the fact he's not that good and a combination of his age/wage/valuation i don't see any team touching him to be honest. He will probably be closing in on a testimonial before he eventually leaves.

Though if he can stay fit he could be an option at LB behind Shaw.

We would hope that’s the pecking order. However, Tuanzebe could well be dead last in the actual pecking order.

in the same sense that Sergio Romero is an option...

terrible at left back

I don't know mate we've never played Romero at LB he could be great there.

Seriously though i never said Rojo was good an LB only that he could be an option. The back up LB right now is looking like its going to be Young who is no better and probably worse.

He could well be but Bailly is injured, Jones soon will be and Rojo probably the same.

In an ideal world Smalling, Jones and Rojo. In the real world they will all still be here in 2 years time.

Everton taking the piss with their loan offer for Smalling, while bidding 30m each for Iwobi & Doucoure
