It seems logical that we would have an interest in their players though, they are young and talented which is our mode of operation these days.

Martinez is obviously the best one to suit our needs, De Marcos looks solid and Herrera is very gifted but could he play alongside Carrick in a 2?

I think he can play both positions with ease. I think he is a nailed on signing for Barcelona who have struggled with the fitness of Pique and Puyol. He'd suit their high pressing style also.

There is really a shit ton of talent that is attainable this summer. The big 2 in Spain are too damn good to want all of it so as long as we put some money on the table we can do well in the summer.
