Where does Pogba fit in?

Some days I hope people reread the nonsenses they write and realize what dumb vitriols they write on internet platforms.

These same people who make idiotic posts are the very same ones always moaning about as not improving us a team and performing at the highest level.

You see people make dumb comments such as "let's get rid of Pogba, Scott will bench him etc" then they'll later moan about how we lack quality when we rightfully get ran over by a superior team.

In order to improve, as a team we need to add quality on top of any quality we have, not replace them. How hard is this to grasp? It's always the same dumb posts on the Caf.

"McTomminay should bench Pogba, sell him to Madrid" , "Replace Martial with Ighalo" , "We have Bruno now so we don't need Pogba anymore" etc. The very same stupid statements over and over. Can't shake my head enough.
 
Right now I’d have him on the left wing as a inside playmaker. He can dribble, he can head he can cross.

especially in home games id put James on the right and tell him to stay wide, let pogba/Bruno/martial link up on the left. Mctominay/Matić Fred as the base. Beautiful.

I think this is the most sensible suggestion without ruining the balance of Bruno and the midfield.
 
For me it’d take one of Fernandes, McTominay or Fred to be injured before I’d want Pogba starting on the pitch as that right now is our first choice trio and the one that works the best for the team.

We’ve tried the Pogba thing over and over and he looks good for a few games at best then goes the other way and we end up carrying him on the pitch which is detrimental to the whole team, if we’re at home against a team parking the bus I don’t mind Pogba being on the pitch as the more creativity and goal threat the better but that’s about it.
 
If by some miracle he's still here at the end of the summer then I'd quite like to see him as part of a midfield three with Fred and Bruno. McSauce and Matic would provide solid cover and in rotation.
 
Pogba with Quality players around him is a super player . I would be very interested to see him and Bruno together. Mata looks quality in a team with Bruno . Pogba could amazing too

I can only judge a player as being worthy of the shirt when he has given his all over the course of a season, against good and bad teams, fulfilling the role he has been asked to play, supporting his team mates in good and bad times, being available most weeks. Pogba fails on every count and worse still is a disruptive influence. Tell Raiola to take him away. PLEASE
 
Look forward to seeing Pogba play with Bruno this year, but at the end of the year, I'm ready to let him go. We need that money to fill in holes at other positions, and Bruno can do most of the things that Pogba does but with more grit and determination.
 
He can help Bruno tie his laces, dont want him injuring his back having to bend over and tie them. He might not be fit do that however.
 
You can also questioning. Where would (possibly) 120m Sancho fits in, when Martial and Rashford available for this type of game?
 
Pogba can play in place of James but I wonder if he will give the same work rate that James provide us. If he can close down like James then because of his added quality we can be even better with Pogba in the team. Apart from that position, I seriously don't think he can replace Fred or even Matic at this moment.
 
I'm one of the few posters on here who is not getting carried away with Fred's performances. I say everyone to their own opinions. I'm just not seeing what many people are. Yes he does a job for us he works his heart out, he's quick with his passing (which has improved) but for me he still gets caught out too often and is easily knocked off the ball and lacks composure. I'd have him as a squad player bring him on when we need fresh legs and a bit of vitality in the team.
So for me Pogba replaces him!
 
Personally he does have a place in the team until the end of the season and that is on the left in the front three. He loves the left hand side and it means we can keep the Fred, Matic(McT) and Bruno triangle that is working so well. He’ll be able to drift inside, do what he’s good at and not have to defend.
Other than that he can play as the left sided 8 in a diamond alongside Fred, with Bruno as the 10 and Matic as the 6. He’s an infinitely better player than Dan James so while Rashford is injured, there’s a spot for sure
 
Bench as midfield sub, replace James wide forward, or play left in the 3 in a 4231. Basically out of postition as none of current midfielders should be benched for him. Their current balance is perfect.

Still, I think the most likely scenario is he drags his injury out for a little bit longer and he comes back for a handful of games to get fit for the Euros, and thats the last we see of him.
 
There shouldn't be a question of whether Pogba and Bruno can play together. If Mata and Bruno can, there's no reason why Pogba can't.

It's more a question of who Pogba replaces. I think Fred unfortunately is the casualty but the question remains on whether we can remain strong without Fred's engine.

I don't think he is better than Bruno or Maguire. Maybe when he blows hot which is one game in 20 or so so far. Bruno and Maguire have shown consistency we forgot existed this past 1-2 months.

I think one of these will have to be unfortunately. These games are a couple of times a season and we have to do what's necessary like City vs Madrid.

I don't think it's that bad having one make impact from the bench, something we've sorely lacked. Really depends on form who starts out of the 2 and who combines better with Sancho. Sometimes injuries will force our decision as it did today with Rashford being out.

this reads “Pogba is better than Fred at defending” which absolutely not true. Pogba is terrible at what you claim Fred is not good. I reckon Pogba for Fred will mean disrupting our team mechanism. Pogba alongside Fred is worth trying though.
 
Bench, coming in/on only if Bruno is injured.
 
I think he'll have a point to prove. Given the impact Bruno seems to have had on the rest of the team I wouldn't be surprised to see the same effect on Pogba. But he will start. How could you not start him? He's our best player whether you like him or not.

Of course he fits in. We can't get complacent here and forget that we always look better against sides that allow us to set up with the counter attack. Today would have been very different if we had not got the first goal. We've got quite a few games coming up against sides that will set up a lot more defensively against us and we're going to need more than just Bruno if we're to stand a chance of getting a top 4 spot.

Whatever happens in the summer, we're going to have to use him to unlock defenses before the end of the season. Hope he's ready.

Agreed. Although I hope we get to the point that our team is strong enough to play our own game. Under Fergie, we only had Keano as our only "DM" for years. Sadly, none of our defensive minded player can hold it on his own, and always need another one. Even like in this game, with 5 defenders, people still keep saying we need 2 DMs to make it work.
 
I'm really torn on this. One of the best midfielders in the world for sure, but he has very obviously bought out of the project, understandably imo. Wonder if it's possible to get him back into the fold and onboard, it will be complicated now. Might be best to just sell him. Who knows.
 
Let's play with Pogba and Bruno! We can try something there.

Yeah, but whilst we're working towards that sometimes we have to accept that a team has better players than us right now. We may have to change our style in the top games and there's no shame in that, even Sir Alex did it when were at the top adding guys like Park, Fletcher Welbeck, O'Shea etc.

Part of me finds wins like this more satisfying when we've changed things around and have a clear plan.

Honestly don't see the need to keep someone who clearly doesn't want to be here. Doesn't help the gelling of the squad. That being said, I am always willing to give second (third and even fourth) chances to those who are willing to put their head down, and play for the badge. Until he shows me that, he doesn't fit in with our bunch. Quality player or not.

Neville made a comment today, he was talking about Ighalo in comparison to Sanchez and Lukaku, who he specifically named (Pogba fits the bill too) and he said something along the lines of: Its better to have a decent player who is willing to give everything for the club, than to have quality players who don't want to be here.
 
There's a new sherif in town and he's named Bruno. Pogba has the talent Bruno has of course but lacks the desire and effort. He just isn't the player his fan boys think he is. He's a highlights reel player. Bruno delivers the goods and runs his ballacks off too. Like KDB does. Pogba doesn't have that in him. Always been a lazy git. Always will be.
 
Given current atmosphere in the squad, it is not impossible that Pogba will react to losing his status as the biggest United star to Bruno. He might just start to put a lot mor effort and become a world class DLP. He is physical, can tackle, and brave. Sitting deeper, he also will have more opportunities for long shots. If he improves his positioning and take more responsibility in winning the ball back, we will have the best midfield in Europe. Both in terms of quality and depth.

We've basically invested in one player, Bruno Fernandes, and he is now doing the job we'd envisaged Pogba doing. The excuses for Pogba's underwhelming performances were basically that he had to play alongside poor players, but Bruno is playing superbly alongside the same players and, guess what, they really aren't that bad.

I hope Bruno's performances continue to be impressive, i.e. that it isn't just a new club bounce. As for Pogba, unless he comes back and shows the same determination and commitment as all of our players did in the derby today (and have been doing for quite a while now), it would be better for all concerned if he left.
 
I'd like to see him against a Spurs side managed by Mourinho. He's certainly got a point to prove.
 
He'd fit in as lcm in a diamond with Bruno as a 10. For example:

Fred-Pogba

Ighalo-Martial
