When is the club going to call out this corruption?

Not sure how any Utd fan can say that's not high and dangerous. It clearly is.

Stop acting like they do on Bluemoon and RAWK and pretend there's a conspiracy against us. It's embarrassing. It was a poor challenge. Just stupid really.

Now the handball one people have far more right to feel miffed.

Seeing how many of our own fans actually try to defend the blatant bias refereeing towards our own team is even more sickening.
People think it makes them look like better fans if they just accept the incompetence.

I don’t know if I’d go as far to say corruption or anything like that, but we really do get the shit end of the stick when it comes to refereeing decisions. We’ve had some go our way, but far far more against.

Remember when Klopp, Pep and others complained about the amount of penalties we got and then it all dried up. Yup no agenda just incompetence. Nothing to see here

And at the time, we'd had one more penalty than Liverpool. We then didn't get another for upwards of a year. Opposing players were fouling us in the box with impunity almost every game and refs simply refused to give us anything. The agenda is so blatant.

Oh yes, because ref's corruption is something that is entirely new to the world of football. I mean, who can even think about such a thing? Absolute fecking nonsense. Do you actually believe people can be this incompetent at their job? And if they are, what are they even doing there in the first place? It's not like being a referee is a highly specialized job that only a few could do. You're living in la la land, mate.

Klopp complained about not getting a pen for ages last week and got one this weekend

What I found strange about the Casemiro's situation was the fact that after the foul, it took VAR about 10 second to check it out, than Taylor went to see it another 5 second, so in 15 second the red was shown...very very peculiar usually it takes 5 minutes to reach a decision.
The not given penalty is a joke, if that's not a handball players might just dive in to save low shots with their hands, it is becoming hilarious really.

Their first all season in fairness. Last team to be awarded one.

Again this is becoming very RAWK. Fans obviously disappointed with more dropped points. The red card was the right decision. You have to take it on the chin.

Yeah whatever Liverpool/Klopp ask for, they get. As far as fair competition goes, the PL and refs are really stretching things now.

The ref today is literally biased and has gone out of his way to cost us the game. Look at his record against us

Rightfully calling out and criticising a refereeing performance as shambolic as that is NOT RAWK. Of course we're disappointed that poor officiating has cost us points!

You have to be blind to not see the media bias and narrative can influence referee's decisions. Just like everything else.

Andre Mariner was the VAR official for both Casemiri reds.

Andre Mariner was also VAR official for the Leicester vs Chelsea game yesterday.

Go and watch some of the tackles in that game and then try arguing with a straight face that it's "Rawkish" to think something is a little bit suspicious.

Also see previous post in this thread. Exactly how much hard evidence of officiating corruption in football do some people want before they'll stop believing the whole idea is ludicrous.

Maybe Juventus and Barcelona were just paying referees to try and help make them fairer for everyone...and maybe PL refs have gotten horrendously worse over the last 3 years because VAR footage is somehow lying to them and showing them different footage to us? Or they've all suffered the exact same unidentified medical condition at the same time that somehow causes you to forget football rules but otherwise function normally?

It's just laughably naive to think there isn't a big problem at this point. It's literally ruining the premier league every single week.

I'm sorry but of all the clubs to have benefited from referee calls over the decades Utd must be very very high on the list. This is a hilarious thread.
I honestly think that's horseshit. Every single challenge that gets called in our favour gets analysed to death and that's why various neutrals think we get so much in our favour but forget everything else quickly.

You might remember a few years back at your absolute prime in the cup I think it was - we won 2-1, but Dele Alli stamped on a few of our players. Forgive me for not remembering exactly, I think it was Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera - and they were both about as blatant as you can imagine. And there wasn't a single word said about them. The stamps weren't included on the highlights and nobody picked up on it on match of the day or anywhere else. And I've never forgotten because I thought even at the time "if that was Pogba we'd have a week of news articles about it". They showed a replay of it and it looked as awful as anything I've ever seen but not a word from the commentators as well.

Most neutral fans and even pundits even enjoy it when United get fecked over. Enough is enough. Time for Ten Hag etc to call it out for what it is - bias. Today is the last fecking straw.

You are completely missing the point.

Firstly, you’re using a still image. Did you watch it live? It was a little reckless but he got the ball first and then awkwardly went over it and clipped the players shin.

Taylor was about 10 yards away with an unobstructed view. He saw the incident and proportionately gave Casemiro a yellow card.

VAR then got involved and spent ages slowing it down and finding the worst possible angle to present to him, called him over and showed him the edited footage.

Where is the threshold here for clear and obvious error? I’ve never seen it applied like this. If it was clear and obvious why did it take Marriner 5 minutes to review it and put together an edited version which showed the worst possible angle in slow motion without the initial challenge where he got the ball first? The angle they showed also didn’t represent the actual angle Casemiro tackled from which was side on and made it look like a head on cruncher.

It’s just not how the technology should be used and it’s not how it’s been used in any other matches. Clear and obvious was out the window completely.

I don’t think people have an issue with it being a red, it’s that we’ve seen refs all season give the benefit of the doubt for players going over the ball/studding people and then suddenly VAR can’t wait to send Casemiro off.

The Bruno penalty appeal is soft but some refs give it, the handball is bonkers that it’s not given. Genuinely bonkers.

Getting the ball first doesn't mean anything anymore though. The rules changed a few years ago so why this gets dragged up all the time I don't know.

And when he gets the ball it runs his studs over the top of the ball rather than going straight through it.

It's a red all day for me. Blatant reds being missed yesterday is why people are miffed and I get that. I'd have wanted a red against us for that challenge though.

Every club fan forum accross the country have these same posts believing their team is being singled out.
PL clubs should jointly condemn reffing standards. It’s the worst I’ve known it - I’ve said from the start it’s so bad it’s as if refs want VAR to be scrapped.

Best league in the world, easily the worst refs of the main European leagues.

It’s the two bolded bits for me. The ref is there. He has seen it clearly and judged it. Don’t know how VAR can decide it’s a clear and obvious error.

And on the 2nd point, the VAR ref gets to create the narrative here. The first thing that’s shown to the ref is Casemiro’s foot above the ball, after the initial challenge, slowed down and replayed 3/4 times, before showing the full tackle once, maybe twice from the same angle and never showing the angle from the opposite side which really shows his foot bouncing off the ball, after not entering the challenge with his studs up.

You know I was going to mention that? Like - genuinely, aware that was an absolutely nonsensical decision that went in United's favour, and like with every bullshit decision, was never forgotten by anyone, right? But do you even remember the Dele Alli stamps? I can't find a single word written about them. And he definitely had a taste for them.
Every club in the league has shit decisions given against them. It's embarrassing to have Utd fans suggest there is corruption against them considering their history. Honestly it's very funny as a non-utd fan to see this.

It was a clear red. Denying that is just plain stupid. The handball rule nobody gets, not sure if that's a penalty anymore.

The ref didn't make us lose this match

Not for a lack of trying. And he still cost us 2 points. That's enough, I'd say... With a better ref we win this game 9 times of 10.

Ok so you’re not missing the point you’re just flat out ignoring it.

The fact he was first to the ball is relevant because it gives benefit of the doubt that the shin contact was accidental.

That’s enough of a reason for Taylor to give a yellow card which he did.

VAR then threw any threshold for clear and obvious error out of the window and spent literally 5 minutes reviewing all the angles creating a clip to show to Taylor.

If Taylor had given a red, that would be frustrating but understandable. Marriner has gone completely outside of normal protocol to overrule his decision. That’s what we are pissed off with.

Exactly. It certainly isn’t a clear and obvious error and VAR was used incorrectly yet again.

Go ahead and tell us why would anyone even bother setting up this whole conspiracy against United. We're not challenging for anything other than top 4, even in our best form we weren't in title race. We're talking about a red card that would be given 80% of the time. Yes, I believe people can be "this incompetent" at their job.

Not sure what you were watching mate. We were hanging on at the end. The less injury time the better for us.
Nah, I was still waiting for a chance to drop to someone - there's usually a chance or 2 in added on time. Particularly as they were going for it too - every chance that we could have caught them on the break with the pace of Rashford and Pellistri.

Just look at that West Ham penalty today.

It looked soft to me but no protests and no replays. Just given and no controversy.

Why is every decision for us debated to the ninth degree?

The ref giving a yellow doesn't mean it's not a red though? As you're all saying he got a lot wrong so why was that one not wrong also? See if works both ways.

I thought he had a poor game anyway as the penalty was blatant. But I do think it was a red and they got it right in the end.

One of those days.

Still licking your wounds over that 5-2 in 2009? Howard Webb our twelfth man that day.

This is why it feels like Casemiro has been deliberately targeted. Exactly the same VAR editing occurred with the Crystal Palace red card. VAR picked out that one little loop from the worst angle, completely ignoring all the other shit that went down.
