What would be an acceptable offer for Pogba?

He'll never be worth more than he is now so he could go for 180m odd imo.

Where would KDB fit in this Mou's team? Competing with Martial on the bench?

And they look much better now than when they were sticking with Coutinho. Coutinho was class, but they used the money to strengthen their weak points in defense and midfield and now have a more balanced team, than sticking with a world class player while having shite defense and midfield (in their case).
There's no price we'd sell Pogba for that we haven't spent recently in the transfermarket.
We can as well just keep our best player rather than signing three players that'd turn out poorly just like the other ones.

But he is far from being our best player?

£140m imo. Even on a good day, I don't think he's so unbelievably good he's getting close to being worth £200m. Nowhere near in fact. The 140m comes from age and potential to improve, World Cup win, inflation, and commercial value.
He'd be quite good for Barca or PSG I think, but nothing more than others who've gone for similar. There should be a PSG tax if he did go there though.

How do you know they'll turn poorly ?

If we sold him for say 150m, add this to the budget and get a number 10, a RW and a defender, I bet we'll look x10 more balanced than now.

So part of me wants 200M and to just get rid of him. But another part wants to keep him; yes, he is sulking and talks a lot of foolishness but as long as he is performing, he makes us better team. We are sadly dependent on him.

So rationally, keep him if he wants to remain. If, he wants to leave, he can do so in July of next year or the one after that, at which time we then demand an exorbitant price and we must find a replacement.

Agreed. He ain't ever going to win us anything. Get decent cash and replace him and two others for the money and we will be far stronger.

A no 10, a RW and a defender right? Then take a look at Bailly, Lindelof, Mkhi, Sanchez. Pogba outperformed and is still outperforming all of them.
Do you think if we just sell Pogba and sign three players in those positions you mentioned, that they'd do better and make the team balanced despite the fact over 85 percent of our signings post Fergie has been failures?

We look at the names more than their benefit for the team, and that's the problem of our signings post SAF.

For me, 3 good players playing in their positions and doing the job are far better than 2-3 world class players who are either inconsistent or playing out of position while there are glaring issues somewhere else not solved. The first team may have less names but more balanced and thus has high chances to perform consistently and win, the second has some pretty high names but due to obvious reasons never perform consistently and thus won't win much at the end.

We have always been more of a balanced team than a galacticos team under SAF and it was working.

Pogba, Sanchez and perhaps Di maria and Zlatan are the only players we've signed post Fergie that you'd say 'yea, they are big names'. Looking at that, they were actually signed for positions we needed. Bar Sanchez perhaps, I can't think of any other player we've signed post SAF just because of the name.
I agree three good players doing their job consistently is better than inconsistent superstars, but take a look at our entire team and point out over three good players that you'd say are doing their job consistently.
Why do we still struggle when Pogba doesn't play whilst the team is supposed to be more balanced?

De Gea. Matic. Shaw. Lukaku. Lingard.

A goalkeeper, Luke Shaw and Rom. I think you should try again. Try out the Lukaku thread too because we're apparently winning nothing with him as the main striker.

De Gea, Matic, Lingard, maybe even Valencia.

Regarding second question, we're struggling because we have glaring issues in the squad due to imbalance. We don't have right winger, our striker can't play without number 10 behind him but we're forced to play 4-3-3 to suit Pogba, our defenders are inconsistent bar Smalling. Overall the balance of the team on the pitch is pretty shite. It's not helped by the fact that our 2 supposedly world class players (Sanchez and Pogba) never play 2 games in a row with the same consistent performance.

We need to start building a proper team. We have issues in certain positions, cover them with players that perform week in week out. If it means selling Pogba because we don't have high budget, so be it. If we decided to finally become a proper and well run football club, we can do well with the money we'll get from him.

Edit : Forget Smalling, can be considered very consistent as well.

Neymar went for £200m in 2017 so if we sell Pogba in 2019, i'd at least want £230m

He hasn’t improved in the time he’s been with you, but football inflation alone means he’s worth £130m+ now.

Matic, Smalling, Lingard and Valencia are proper shouts, but that's just four players out of a c. 25-man squad that contains only two players you'd class as superstars. So for four consistently good players, you have close to 20 inconsistent/average ones.
We have been rebuilding for ages now - has to be noted that four of the five players you mentioned where not signed post Fergie - but Pogba has been one of the 2-3 players you'd class a success. Why then should we get rid of our little success and start afresh? Selling Pogba won't help much tbh, instead it would give us another hole to try and fill. Clubs would try to fleece us; we'd be quoted unrealistic prices for players as the selling clubs would know how loaded and desperated we'd be.
It has to be noted that Matic and the lack of a RW are some of the reasons we play 433 too.

I think United could expect about £140m. Similar fee to Coutinho, who he hasn't proven to be better than, despite the general sentiment among United fans seeming to be that he's miles better for some reason.

He's younger (a year or two I think?), has just won the world cup and is more of a dominant player WHEN he's at his best compared to Coutinho. Thats just my opinion, and he's also a marketing dream in todays crazy socialmedia landscape, and "the brand" is a big part of the deal for many clubs. Im not saying he's worth far north of 140m which Coutinho cost but I think we could get closer to 170m for Paul.

4 players out of the main 11 lineup you mean ? Surely you're not expecting the 25 players to be consistent ? Otherwise there won't be main or sub players.

We have fecked up the rebuilding post SAF for various reasons and that's why we're still in it. Ignoring obvious glaring issues in the squad, signing marketable players that we don't know how to use them, and at the same time spending loads on average players under LVG. The overall result is what it's now. We look far from being the finishing article 6 years post SAF.

Again, if we sold Pogba for 150 and get players in number 10, RW and defense, making the whole main lineup more balanced, I'm not really sure how that will make us any worse. People said Liverpool will struggle after selling Coutinho but they look better now.

Pogba is currently a problem. The team is basing its hopes on world class player who doesn't play 2 games in a row with same performance, and his level ranges from 8/10 to 4/10 in 2 straight weeks. He's also a tactical problem that can only play in certain formation and very certain role to cover his weaknesses, and this formation suits no one except him. He's a massive tactical headache and for the last 2 years discussions about how to get the best out of him never stopped. No one knows. We keep signing midfielders to provide the base for him and he's still as inconsistent as in his first season.

No one is disputing his quality but his inconsistency in a team that is built around him (and Sanchez) considering the other glaring issues around is simply not going to win anything. I'll take players of less quality but provide a consistent performance every week, play in their best position and cover the weak points in the team every time above having a world class player that just shows flashes of his brilliance from time to time.

He'll be good as a part of a machine. Someone you sign when you have world class team all around and needs to add more quality. He's like that for France and was like that for Juve. I'm pretty sure he'll do well for Barca but not expecting anything more from him with us anymore.

He has no consistency and imo lacks a The right attitude. £140m plus - snap their hands off!

160m and I’d take it.

But Milinkovic-Savic and Perisic with the money.

£125M and I'd sell him in the January transfer window. Then, I would spend roughly £115-130M to buy Weigl for £60-65M and de Ligt for £55-60M.
