What has, or will, give(n) you joy from this season?

Hire ETH.
Liverpool knocked out of CL, Cup and are beaten to title by City.
Klopp leaves to join Everton.
Sell entire squad and give ETH 1bn to rebuild.

The only joy left possible from this season is to finish 3rd ahead of City, and to deny them Champions League football next season.

Other than that, hopefully we get to lift the FA Youth Cup, just like we won the Youth League Cup.

Pogba and the other deadwood players leaving for me would be akin to us finishing on the top 4. Can’t wait to see a more balanced and driven group of players.

Just dredged up something else I enjoyed.

Super sub and penalty specialist Mark Noble self importantly jogging onto the pitch with one of the most punchable faces in all sport and seeing his kick saved. I cannot think about it without smiling.

That was a beautiful moment. Wilko tough guy fecked it up.

Honestly, seeing the club take a long hard look at itself and attempting to change. Wether it works and the decisions made are correct, time will tell.

1. Making top 4 (unlikely)

2. Beating Liverpool (unlikely)

3. Beating Arsenal

4. Winning all the home games.

5. Scoring more goals.

There's no real basis for joy for a United supporter as he, or she, reflects on this season. It was clear as could be in the summer that we were heading for a train wreck and the train wrecked happened pretty much on cue. The end of the season can't come soon enough.

Would love to see a couple of the kids be given chances and they respond by being excellent and established as a first team contender for next season.
ETH and the backroom staff that he wants all being hired
Finish 8th (4th gone imo) so TH has a full season to implement his training methods without having to play multiple games a week.

Seeing Sancho has been a positive but he can and should get better.

I was a fan of Wan bissaka but it has also been good to see a more traditional attacking RWB in Dalot again.

Whilst I don't necessarily think he was a good idea to sign - watching Ronaldo perform at the age of 36-7 is always pleasing to watch in the hardest league in the world.

Rangnick has improved and utelised Fred better than ever before at United.

Want to see some players like Hannibal get games. Seeing less of De Gea would make me smile.

This season has been a shocker - for me the only plus would be seeing City not win the league. My hatred for them knows no bounds. They have overtaken Liverpool for me as rivals. So many city fans popping up everywhere - depresses me. Never ever saw one til 2011 - not the feckers are everywhere. Pains me to say it but hope the scousers win the PL and Real for the CL would be a great end to the season. As for Utd - burn it down and start again - 3 year plan, let’s get some hungry kids in - feck the superstars.

- For us, getting at least an EL spot, contrary to the opinion that we are "too great" for EL, I would love to see more games next season and in any european competition. Plus we have a chance of winning it.
- Liverpool not winning the league or CL
- Arsenal not getting CL

That opening game against Leeds was fun. Loved that. Other than that, garbage season start til end. Or well, another good thing is i have really low expectation on next season regardless of manager.

  1. Watch United play some entertaining football
  2. Players look like they want to give everything they have.
  3. Win most of the remaining games. ( which is quite likely if 1 and 2 are applied )
  4. The top 4 is unlikely, but not impossible, giving our best and failing is better than this insipid dross we see in recent months.

Bringing Ralph into the club, I think he has set things in motion that will stabilise the ship.

So far the only real pleasure this season has been a couple of emotional moments with the return of Ronaldo and the joy at watching Elanga play with tenacity, energy and drive.

I'm not claiming him as a prodigious talent, but just how much it shows up how lacking in those qualities are far too many of the current squad.

What will make me happy by the season's end....

ETH being confirmed as Manager.

Club announce the departure of a large number of players at the end of the season in a proactive way rather than have continued speculation about who is staying, to send a message to remainder of squad.

Younger players being given a chance to shine, rather than some players trotting around as a last hurrah.

Joy? Hopefully Pogba, Lingaard etc leaving. Also ETH joining.

Thats it. Been an awful season.

I joked a few months ago that Carrick would've probably provided the best moments of your season.

Well four months on and he pretty much did didn't he?

Good win at Villareal who are still doing well in CL.

Good point at Chelsea who were flying at the time.

3-2 win over Arsenal before he left.

Aside from the two Leeds wins that's basically been it.

Ole getting sacked and Ed fecking off from the club is the highlight of the season.

Pogba finally leaving us will be another.

Signing Sancho and Varane and Ole sacking were best parts.
Whole season is for forget.

What will make me happy?
New manager. Eth or Poch, i don't care.
Selling Maguire for huge amount of money to Newcastle. Selling McT. Selling AWB. Selling Jones. Selling Henderson.
Buying Kane and Rice.
Liverpool winning nothing.
City not winning CL.

New contract to Pogba.:nervous:

Maguire, Rashford and other members of the useless English contingent get relegated to the bench.

Deadwood like Lingard, Jones and Mata get sold or released.

A true CM or DM and a good CB purchased in the summer, preferably non English.

The faint glimmer of hope that we sell Maguire in the summer. Wont happen but it's nice to hope

Also knowing that Sancho can only get better next season..right!?

Ralf's pressers have been great tbf. Waiting for his last one where he'll tell us that the club have agreed to let him stay on as chief assistant secondary exuctive technical director, working remotely from Dubai ofcourse

This wretched season ending will give me joy.

It seems we have people at the club who acknowledge we have to get with the times and improve the whole structure. It should have been done a decade ago, anyone with marginally more intelligence than a garden worm could have seen back then we were being left behind by others clubs. Now, finally, I hope we're going to move forward for the first time in a long time and hopefully in couple of years we'll have properly-built team for the first time in 15-odd years.

This end of the season is truly depressing, but I like to think we've reached a nadir and will slowly improve from here.

The Leeds home game, Ronaldo show vs Spurs and the last minute Rashford winner vs West Ham. Might have been the only few moments.

The end of the season! Can’t wait to see the back of it to be honest, it’s been worse than the Moyes season.

Well put it this way even the most optimistic fan knows we aren't putting a spoke in the scouse title charge. So basically nothing left for us this season to look forward to
