What has, or will, give(n) you joy from this season?

Realizing that some of the overpaid dogshit players will be moving on. That this is the last time(hopefully) I would see them disrespect the Utd shirt.

Couple of weeks just as the season began were the best. Signing Sancho, Varane (and his presentation at Old Trafford) and of course signing Ronaldo. Thought we would really compete for the league and more.

First half against Palace when we looked like we would be a pressing team, Ronaldo’s highlights in some matches in the PL and CL. Thats it.

What I would like to see - The club hires ETH (or even Poch is fine). They don’t extend some contracts. And next season we buy smart than paying hundreds of millions for a player or two. Oh, and we sell a lot of out current players.

Been the worst season post Saf for me. Loved the first game vs Leeds and the Ronaldo return. Beyond that it’s been truly awful and I can’t wait for it to end.

Ronaldo playing for United again, and hopefully Liverpool not winning the league.

  1. Elanga's goal against Madrid. To a lesser extent: Sancho's Goal against Chelsea, goals against Villareal.

Looking forward (bitter sweet though it may be):-

    -The Bin-dippers blowing the league.
-The Bin-dippers getting knocked out of the Champions league.
Also Utd appointing a decent Manager.

I should say, that I think that Rangnick knows what needs to be done, and has been unfortunate not to have had an opportunity to make signings over a few transfer windows.

Sadly, I think the only thing left is Liverpool having the least amount of success possible. It's so gutting when the only bit of joy I'll be able to find is our biggest rival failing to win trophies (and still being far better than us this year regardless of how bad it goes for them from now until the end).

I am 99% sure we will not finish 4th as it means winning every game (maybe one draw). We aren't good enough to do that. Even if we did scrape 4th I'd feel like we cheated  it's been a horrible time and I haven't looked forward to a game for months. That's probably the worst feeling of all...

Ole's sacking. Apart from that it has been an absolutely miserable season with us being shite even in cup competitions.

Highlights of the season so far:
- Opening day win vs. Leeds, and Ronaldo's brace on his return (seems like ages ago now)
- Ronaldo's late game heroics in the Champions League group stage
- DDG penalty save vs. West Ham after being robbed by the ref all day
- 3-2 victories vs. Arsenal and Spurs incl. that Ronaldo shutting up the doubters with a hattrick

Things that could bring joy in the rest of the season:
- Beating any of Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea
- Not qualifying for the Conference League

And in the summer, I would like a good manager signing, a ruthless squad clear-out and 2-3 quality additions to the side.

Is the Leeds game on the opening day the one good 90 minute performance we've put in all season?

Even in the Moyes season we had more than that for feck sake

It was all going so well up until that West Ham Cup game since then utter shite with no positives

So many threads come off as almost emo in the constant woe that that they invite the collective to wallow in. It's understandable, but are there any shining beacons of positivity to take from this season, in your opinion?

On the playing side of things, Mejbri getting playing time and Sancho settling in a little will be my high points, I think.

Yours?

Nothing. Consign it to history.

The only thing that might provide some momentary hint of any sort of enjoyment is if we can manage to dent Liverpools title bid. But the fact is we can already surmise that we won't even have a shot that day never mind get a draw.

So yeah. Nothing

Ronaldo back in red. Of course it's sentiment talking, but there's been literally feck all else to enjoy this season. Newcastle at home, the CL group stage games, and Spurs at home are the games that I'll remember from this season.

Ronaldo coming home. I know he hasn't had the best season but watching my 4 year old son fall in love with football and wanting to score and play like Ronaldo just makes my day. Everytime my son scores he does the Ronaldo celebration and yells siuuu. My 10 year old likes PSG and Mbappe but even he can't resist watching United. Hell even the missus is in on it occasionally.

Not appointing Poch. That is going to give me the biggest joy.

De Gea and Ronaldo. Some stunning saves from the former (reminded me of 2015-2016 form) and emotional moments with the later.

Even the good moments have come with caveats, tbh.

Ronaldo started with a bang and kept us alive in the Champions League - but it's been sad to watch him clearly struggling to keep up since the turn of the year.

De Gea's made some vintage saves throughout the season - but it's become increasingly obvious he's part of the problem with our defence

Greenwood began the season looking like this was going to be his year - and then...

No fan of Ronaldo - sorry! But I've loved his siuuuu celebration. Like many fans, my son has been copying Cristiano's celebration... It's great seeing kids showing an interest, so yeah that's my highlight of the season - Ronaldo's celebration and kids mimicking him.

Shame he came back as a geriatric. Innit.

Has : Greenwood scoring goals and maturing as a player
Will : Greenwood in prison

Hmm joy that's tough, seeing Fred show glimpses of his full potential, after taking dog's abuse for months, has been good. Having ETH appointed permanently will definitely cheer me up.

Just dredged up something else I enjoyed.

Super sub and penalty specialist Mark Noble self importantly jogging onto the pitch with one of the most punchable faces in all sport and seeing his kick saved. I cannot think about it without smiling.

I'd be happy to write this season off if Liverpool and City get dumped out of the CL, Everton get relegated with Lampard and Arsenal end up in the Europa Conference spot.

I would be happy enough if Liverpool go without PL and CL this season.;

Sad that things have come to this, but at least much of our deadwood is gonna get cleared out soon.

ETH officially appointed and the prospect of a big summer clear out would raise my spirits somewhat.

Dodgy 96th minute penalty against Liverpool at 0-0.

Phil Jones steps up to take it.

Diving header.

Alison’s gone the wrong way!

Top bins!
