Worst scout to ever exist
- Raya
- Min Jae
- Rabiot
- Lavia
- Kane
Add one more midfielder and that would actually be pretty good.I reckon we'll bring in four senior players - something like:
One major hallmark signing - probably a striker
Two mid-level signings - e.g. Min Jae and Raya
One free signing - e.g. Rabiot
I see this being about our model over the next few summer windows.
Whoever can be sold for more fees is should be the one sold. It’s amazing how many will still sell AWB. What else does he need to do to convince?
But Dalot can cover left back which provide more versatility, suits for backup player. Both have something different to offer. For me AWB > Dalot
And adds to homegrown quota
It would be ideal but, realistically with FFP, that second midfielder may come the following summer as that window’s major hallmark signingAdd one more midfielder and that would actually be pretty good.

It's doable tbh. Raya won't be expensive, Min-Jae has a reasonable release clause (42m?), Rabiot is free. Between those 3 and someone like Kokcu or Lavia, that is doable for roughly £100m. That's also roughly what we should be looking to bring in in terms of funds with all the sales we should be making, along with wages being cleared out.It would be ideal but, realistically with FFP, that second midfielder may come the following summer as that window’s major hallmark signing
my main gripe is that bruno plays pretty much every game and is a fitness machine. Dont see that changing next season. Is maddison really worth the money, or would even want to come, and play second fiddle that much. Plus think raya is being overrated here and not sure id trust our hopes on someone like him.I don't think we're going to be able to complete this many deals in one summer, but this a semi-realistic take on what I'd like to see...
Ins:
Raya £40m
Min-Jae £45m
Caiceido £75m
Maddison £40m
Rabiot £0m
Hojland £40m
Outs:
Maguire £20m
Henderson £15m
Williams £5m
VdB £10m
Elanga £5m
Martial £5m
Fred £5m
Dalot £10m
Pellistri: 15m
Extra revenue:
New owner sponsorship deal £30m
Net spend: £120m
GK: Raya/Heaton
(inverted) RB: Caicedo/AWB

RCB: Varane/Lindelof

DM: Case/Rabiot/McTominay

LW: Garnacho/Sancho
RW: Antony/Amad
CF: Rashford/Hojland
I would replace Lavia with another CM or a Full-back. He has contract till 27' and they will be asking silly money for him. It makes sense to wait 1-2 years to pay silly money as Case will start over him anyway.I'd say this window is very doable for around 200m, and would be a great window for our needs. Lavia key though to get the right age profile started. We should be able to bring in 75m-100m in sales while clearing loads of wages too.

Would take this all day.
Lads this isn’t championship manager, we aren’t going to sell 10 and buy.
majority of budget will be used on striker which is most important. De gea will be staying at this moment in time there isn’t a goalkeeper good enough or on same level as him so no point wasting money on it. Need a cb varane Martinez newcb and lindelof is very good for starting and cover. We need more bodies centre midfield mcallister I feel be great he starts and eriksen comes cover and maybe an experienced cdm to cover Casemiro.
attacking wise we have enough in basically everywhere except centre forward. Sign kane. Diallo could come back But I would also keep weighorst if happy to stay back up. Kane has those muscle problems so it’s back up.
so if we’re to sign a centre back the Napoli lad touted, two centre mids McAllister and an experienced cdm and harry kane. We won’t be too far away.
sell Maguire sell martial sell Williams and mctominay.
I have seen some really outrageous and stupid takes about the players over the years on this forum , this one is definitely up there .
Spain manager Luis Enrique surprised many when he decided to call up Barcelona B goalkeeper Arnau Tenas ahead of David de Gea after Robert Sanchez ruled himself out for their upcoming game against Iceland.Whenever de gea goes or gets replaced you will realise what we had
Thing is you don't even have to follow much football outside of United just Watching United should be enough to conclude how much of liability De Gea is , no person with working set of eyes would believe we can't get an upgrade on him .He's known as DDG lover and haven't watch enough other team matches to know there are lot of keepers better than DDG. He also probably doesn't know that Barcelona B team keeper Arnau Tenas is above DDG in Spanish National Team pecking order.

I think he is just trolling and looking for some one to take bait .
We are already unstable with our 20m per year salary goalkeeper. Spending 20m on him every year is like spending on a new keeper every year.Boys I can remember us going threw 10+ keepers trying to replace schmeichel some with big reps etc etc and all basically failed until we got van see Saar. It took de gea quite a while to become stable.
I agree yes de gea’s performances have dropped but unless there is a certainty there’s a keeper going to come in who can deal with the premiership pressures etc. when way waste money when other areas need more improving
Also if our defense was stronger in front of him he wouldn’t be troubled as much. No United keeper in my time has ever been busier. Over worked that much eventually you are gonna make a mistakeWe are already unstable with our 20m per year salary goalkeeper. I don't think I can help you man. Also if our defense was stronger in front of him he wouldn’t be troubled as much. No United keeper in my time has ever been busier. Over worked that much eventually you are gonna make a mistake
I think Raya was the 2nd choice. Sanchez was 3rd. Tenas was 4th.Where was David Reya?
Hopefully ETH goes ruthless, open heart surgery scenario:

And I know that the above might look like something we never could afford, but that is really not the case. If — and it’s of course a big if given our track record — we could sell the players listed above, we could easily comply with FFP. I count on very low transfer fees, but they help and since these guys are on crazy wages it opens up a tremendous amount of FFP room if they can be sold.
I think ETH will keep both AWB and D Dalot, he clearly preferred Dalot at left back to Malacia in some games when Shaw went into CB, he’s quickly realising that height is a huge deal in the PL and he can’t have too many defenders under 6 feet, both Dalot and AWB are over 6 foot.I'd keep him but I think EtH wants a new RB regardless and would rather keep Dalot as the depth RB due to him being better and more reliable on the ball... Part of a good squad turnover is knowing which players you can sell for a solid fee to help get the type of player you need in.
Football manager aside, I’m assuming you mean Jeremie Frimpong and we have just resigned Dalot so we won’t be selling him as he’s able to play left back, right back and at a push right wing. FFP changes to FSP this year and it’s a much bigger deal than normal as the club can only spend 90% of our turnover on financials, wages, agent fees and net Transfer spend. Financials the club lost £115m last year servicing a debt of £565m with £40m per year charge.Hopefully ETH goes ruthless, open heart surgery scenario:

ha yeah somehow maguire only goes for 15 (which is pretty low for england starting CB that would fit well for midtable teams) and yet somehow our below average RB gonna go for 40 million. Also from what ive read selling sancho at 30 million is essentially a loss and worse than just keeping him as we dont get those funds to spend.Funniest part was Dalot's valuation, you also might want to adjust transfer fees for Toney & Caicedo.

Financials the club lost £115m last year servicing a debt of £565m with £40m per year charge.
That was with CL football, the recent two financial quarters suggest we might turn over about £550m which means we have £495m to spend on wages rumoured to be £340m this season that leaves £155m left, if we lose £100m again we have £55m to spend on transfer, new wages and agents fees now regulated by FIFA. A New owner can help because they can pay up to €60m of their own money to boost the financials of their club but the Glazers have only taken money out never put money in.
Having said that I like the list a lot, all be it a dream that won’t happen, change KMJ for J Gvardiol and Felix who is vastly overpriced for P Dyballa available for £15-17m with a clause in his contract, reduces your spend by £80m and means the club would spend £280m and as much as I dearly like most united fans love Caciedo he will cost £100m at least as he has no buy out clause in contract.
Plus DVB and Dean Henderson will be sold for £15m and £25n and your get double for Mctominay and Maguire, Homegrown rule adds value.
for me need to swing big for talents still on 2 spots, CF and CM. Then rest needs to be adding quality, low cost, age mix options to round out the squad. Can incorporate someone like rabiot on a free as long as we add another young midfielder to start grooming in there. Get a younger CB that can start learning the ropes and fill in when we have injuries and still contribute thru this year. Find a younger gk to groom now behind ddg to play how we want. We already have a squad that will really need revamping in a couple of years we have to start now
De Gea's performances over the last five years would be classed as 'failing' if we break his career here in half. Indeed at least two of those failing keepers (Barthez and Howard) had at least one season each that was clearly better than what De Gea has given us over the last half a decade. Indeed I'd argue that Barthez' second and third seasons were at a similar level as De Gea has been, and that ended with Fergie getting rid of him and looking for better. That is how far De Gea has fallen. While it's not impossible that a replacement would end up being even worse, it's nothing like trying to replace Schmeichel and VDS where we'd need one of the best in the world to do it properly.Boys I can remember us going threw 10+ keepers trying to replace schmeichel some with big reps etc etc and all basically failed until we got van see Saar. It took de gea quite a while to become stable.
