Westminster Politics

Then on top of that, he's turned London into a fecking cesspit. Lawlessness, knife crime, gang culture, divisions and lack of social cohesion, expensive transport.

it's hard to believe that he could have done a worse job. Yet gets a 3rd term

How do you manage to go into every CE thread and be the worst poster in it?

Pretty disastrous for the Tories all round, lovely stuff. I'm still weirdly pessimistic about Labour's chances of winning a majority though, mostly because there's no guarantee of a Labour comeback in Scotland.

Only thing that could stop Labour is Labour themselves. Mind you they're seemingly trying really hard to self-implode, especially with some of their comments on their typical voting demographics.

I'm intrigued about how you know this?

I'm getting tired of politicians paying lip service to this when it applies to certain groups, whereas with others they are magically able to find out who the person is immediately and do something about it. They seem to only ever do anything about it when the public are paying attention, otherwise it just gets swept under the rug.
Which bit?

Next you'll be saying he's a fan of drill

Cry fecking more

Ok. If I said, Khan has done a fantastic job in London. Has made transport cheaper, built lots of affordable housing and made the city safe from knife crime and burglars.

Then this would be better for you?

Tories should put Andy Street in as next leader. Decent, hard working, moderate that gets stuff done.

People of W Midlands made a mistake voting on tribal party lines I feel

True. He'd have won if he went independent.

which is precisely why party politics is dead. People vote tribally like football fans supporting their favourite team.

I believe all Mayoral candidates should run as independents. Based on their own merits, not by whatever party is "flavour of the month"

With the greatest of respect, you've spent the the past few pages crying your heart out like the most hard-core of hard-core Tories.

Also, I have to ask. Do you actually live in London?

How is this specific to London?

Lawlessness, increasing crime rates, divisions in social cohesion and expensive transport…

…it’s almost as if the Party of government is a fan of reducing funding for public services like policing and the CPS, stoking up culture wars, and deregulating markets to increase profits for private enterprise.

But go ahead, keep screaming about how it’s Labour’s fault.

Any of it really.
Theres only one guy, who could be considered senior, who'd blame Hamas for his local supermarket not having his favourite brand of crisps in stock. It is absolutely him.

Starmer and MPs who represent his party have been interviewed repeatedly by BBC and Sky this morning, has this racist source come up in a single one of those? They've lost interest already.

The West Midlands hasn't turned into shining beacon of moderate Tory policy over the past 7 years. Violent crime is through the roof, public transport is non-existent in certain areas, schooling and hospital standards are at an all time low. This idea that Andy Street has done a wonderful job is not one I can see where I'm living.

I'm guessing you don't live in London. And watch GB News.

Someone who doesn't go to the extreme of every scenario and speaking rubbish on everything would be better.

Personally for me, like I said, it’s a very secure process and enables a lot more people to vote.

Yes, I can see the help postal voting is to many people, for a variety of reasons; however providing DOB and signatures, remotely, in this day and age is in my opinion just not totally secure. Even if the DOB and signature are comparable with Council records, it still doesn't mean the vote has been cast by the officially identified person.
For absolute proof there is nothing like the seeing/checking the validity of voter in person who enters the voting booth to make their choice.

I suppose in reality even personal voting methods can be 'manipulated', but postal voting methods certainly can be, there is an imbalance in 'proof of authenticity' between the two and the fact that more and more people are choosing the postal method, is (for me at least )worrying.

I suppose that all the talk in recent years about potential foreign interference, via social media , bot's etc in our political system including voting pressures, if true means that eventually direct interference with the voting will be attempted. Perhaps not on a large scale of 'impostor voters', but say in marginal seats, and postal voting will be their way in.

it's a stealth tax. They're ending the EV exemption on congestion charge in London. Why? Because it was never about cleaner air. It's a tax on people to make more money for the council.

ULEZ is about cleaner air. Congestion charge is about congestion and still has plenty of exemptions.

Ah yes, the good old all parties are shite when only one of them is a criminal cartel of bigots and thickos that's been destroying the country for a decade and a half. Gotta love that neutrality

Galloway is course full of shit and it gets shown up here. Doesn’t now think gay life is normal but has in the past voted for gay marriage and gay adoption.

Just seen the Tory bitch gave the entirely irrelevant Braveman a feature slot on her show this morning. Why?

I just wish they would grow a spine and call a general election so we can get the likes of Braverman out

Not sure about that. He's turned Birmingham into a fecking cesspit. Lawlessness, knife crime, gang culture, divisions and lack of social cohesion, expensive transport. it's hard to believe that he could have done a worse job.

You think transport in London is expensive? It's cheaper and better than any other city in the UK. Manchester would love London's 'expensive' transport network.
