The rumours and rumblings are getting to strong for this to be complete bullshit.

As an avid fan of transfer Muppetry, I know - my inner muppet tells me - that this is the real deal.

It's past that certain level. It's... REAL!! :P

F.C. Internazionale Milano

(Post it up on the Sneijder thread - thanks)

3/4s of a length down regarding the FFP rules is interesting. They're in deep shit financially i.e. excessive salaries, poor commercial revenue, stadium revenue etc. Thinking about it logically only Cambiasso, Eto'o & Sneijder are of real value. Cambiasso won't leave, Sneijder we all know of & I can't think of no-one wanting Eto'o except City.

Essentially from that interview it seems we're in negotiations with Inter and they are trying to pump up the price. Hopefully City won't go after Eto'o otherwise Inter won't feel compelled to sell Sneijder.

Another interesting PM from a Newbie. Didn't knew that Inter were in such deep shit in their finances.

Interesting that Fergie was talking so openly about Nasri and Sneijder in the last 24 hours.

Hmmm...very interesting that. Journalists asked him yesterday about Nasri and today about Sneidjer and hence he spoke about both of them in 24 hours. Mind boggling is it?

Not really... did he have any choice, considering the circumstances?

If he preferred not to comment, most probably the reporters would have still gave their interpretation. So he is prefering to dictate the agenda himself...

Fergie knows that both Arsenal and Inter are not in a very good position. Arsenal risk of losing 20m+ on a player, come next summer and Inter must sell in order to balance the books. It's no use trying to rush a deal, knowing that time is not on the side of the other party.

Oh yeah!

feck! I can remember the song and not the pics

Sneijder also had an hair transplant surgery this summer. Just putting it out here.

I didn't realise Lailiani funded our transfer activity. Best push for a payrise tomorrow morning I reckon.

Those Norewegian fan club quotes by Fergie (allegedly) are going to drive a lot of media stories about United and Sneijder now.

I guess they're pretty reliable?

Yes, the reporter is a friend of mine, and he's reliable.

Good to know that we are trying, an offer good enough will tempt Inter into selling. I hope it will be within our reach because the last time Inter sold their main asset was for an insane price.

Yeah, people bitch and moan about United not getting the big names, but they genuinely tried to buy players like Ozil and Benzema in the recent past. And it seems they are aiming for Sneijder now.

United don't sit on their hands when top players are available. But sometimes the players are just not interested, and sometimes the clubs want money that only Chelsea and City can pay. Just the way it is. Better to aim high than make do with Hendersons and Adams.

I'm not sure we made an attempt to sign Ozil to be honest but he would have gone to Spain anyway so it doesn't matter. What worries me a little is that we don't spot those bargains, the same Sneijder was available at £12m just two years ago and we weren't interested, even van der Vaart last year would have been a solid buy although I don't find him as good. Still, we are going for quality and I like it even if we are not going to get any of our top midfield targets this Summer.

No club is psychic. Players prove themselves better than you thought. How much would Hernandez cost now?

its great to see us in for someone of sneijders calibre. and I firmly believe he is interested in coming to english football and united. he's won the lot at inter and at his age the challenge is just right. I like sneijder and he is a class act. hope we get him

Those comments from Fergie sound very similar to those regarding Nasri, confirming our interest without ruling either deal out.... he obviously doesn't care what he's putting us through :(

He ruled out Nasri...
