Hmmmm...sounds like those rumours of a 33m bid being accepted were bollocks. Nice one BBC/the mirror.

Its over then.

Inter has denied it, Fergie has denied it, Howard Nurse has said it was never on. Time we move on.

/closethread before it reaches 10,000. That will be the rightful ending for this sad story.

Of course they were, the papers just remind me of those shit ITKs on twitter.

Err... Why is everyone going mental? He's in bloody Ibiza. Talks will still be being finalized whilst he is on holiday, once it's ready, it's ready!

It's suggested nothing will go official til he returns - so wait til Monday at the earliest to start going off on one. We may get lucky, it maybe earlier. But it won't be today. :nono:

I'm not accepting this. At the very least, let's keep the discussion going until it's clear he'll not come here. (I.E. he's retired.)

Why should we give in now? Having gone to all this trouble, why should we deny ourselves the right to fight to the bitter end, defyingly ***ping away to photoshopped pics of Sneijders head behind, at the moment at least, clean sheets?

Also, there's bound to be some fake ITKs who can twist just a tiny bit more out of this story, to keep us going till august 31th. Then, we'll have enough time until the january transfer window to collect quotes from Fergie, Inter and the great Sneijder himself, so that we can fantasize freely about his mid-winter transfer, which obviously will never happen, while everyone is frantically denying it(which we'll of course turn a blind eye too.)

Essentially, either you're with us or against us, and either way, you're helping increase the post-count in this, let's face it, doomed-from-the-start, dying thread.

I doubt that is going to have any bearing on the (non) transfer

Exactly. One off performance from a young midfielder who could still have a career with us regardless of whether Sneijder comes or no won't affect Ferguson's stance, whatever it is.

Exactly, if he doesn't come now he will come next year. Or the year after. Even if he retires he can still come out of retirement to play for us, it's not like it's never happened before. I think only when he dies we can safely say that he won't be playing for United.

Moratti confirms offers are received and down to players to decide. Sneijder representatives are talking to united today and tomorrow.

Inter Milan. Sneijder won't be leaving in this window.

Apparently it looks better if you put it in italics.

You're back! Where did you get these from mate?

Come to think of it, didn't God say, in that Daily Mail interview, that he was sure of his final destination, and that there's "no escape from there."?

Hmm, I sense a plot here. God will probably sign the big W when his earthly self call it a day, and personally transfer his remains, or his soul, or whatever, to Old Trafford. It will be a bit like when Liam Miller played for us, allegedly, although perhaps his mere ghostly presence will impact the match a bit more than he did. I mean, you try and put one past the keeper when a ghost tickles your hair, or in Obertan's case, the bulb that would be the back of a normal head. So there goes all this nonsense about him being too defensive minded to work in a midfield two!

It'll work a bit like Kia Joorabchian/Tevez, in that he'll feck us over sooner or later, and demand a move to hell, or worse, City, but that's fine, we've been down that road before and if nothing else it kept the muppets busy.

So, I guess we can safely say that there will never be a situation where one can assume that Wes will not play for us. Even in death.

A week or two before we agree a 80m fee with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo

So, losing Ronaldo was a big blow, getting Sneijder or not won't affect us at all. Also we have to deal with the facts of the matter and the facts are that Inter have said he's staying and thats what we have to go on.

Not from any decent source on twitter, I won't buy it yet.

Just got home and saw these a couple of places on Twitter though I thought it would have been posted in this thread by now

Ignore them, you don't need a fecking source. We need straws, I mean, to clutch at. It's what we've got left. It's all I got left anyway, since my Sneijder-poster is full of human juices, dating back to the transfer window of summer '09, that the only thing visible from it are his armband and the Inter-logo, which I've conveniently scrathed over with a filt pen. Also, since it consists of mostly protein now, it's safe to say it will not hold much longer. One or two decent, imaginative transfer stories from the mirror and the posters gone. :(

The list of reliable sources dwindles like feck, but lets not forget that Sneijder himself said he would accept an offer.

That's the main thing.

People need to stop believing SSN. The "deal is off" is probably them finally realizing Fergie said "no more signings" after the match on Sunday.

This deal will happen and I'm sure there will be more news over the next 2 days :D

More twitter crap.
