Let him fight his own battles, KM.

I hope Sneijder stays at Inter and you'll feck off and die, wr8.

Insert internet serious business image here...

To a lesser extent (not directed at wr8), I feel two ways about getting him. If we don't it's a bigger incentive to win the league to laugh at the muppets with a weaker squad. It shouldn't be like that, but I can't help it

The Inter chief executive went on to answer some questions about the transfer market. "Are Manchester United still after Sneijder? We haven't seen or heard from anyone; that's a story I've heard from you. Is Wesley definitely not for sale? I don't think there's anything that can't be sold, it all depends on the price. You never say no if a big opportunity comes your way, but it does have to be a real opportunity."

Seems he is saying that to cover his own back by not raising the hopes of Inters fans.

This convinces me further in believing that this Wesley Sneijder link has nothing to it and has been lies all along.

So basically Inter need United money to buy Tevez?!! United aren't playing ball and Inter are sticking too their guns.

Interesting Fergie insisting this week that he doesn't believe any club will pay Tevez's £40m price tag....

Got an infraction.

Apologise if anyone (and especially wr8_utd) was disgusted reading that post.

I really do believe wr8_utd is usually a nice guy, when United play he's also a quality poster, but he's quite annoying (****) when there's a transfer window and I think I sometimes just can't stand his muppetry.

Apologise once again, long live the Caf.

Yet you livein the transfer thread.

Yet you livein the transfer thread.
So does it mean muppetry is acceptable here? Ronaldo threads can be full of fanbois then? "Ronaldo is da man! Better than Messi. Love him, we should bring him back!".

Finished, won't come here anymore.

Dead cert for Brad of the year if you keep this up.

Lad's we should probaly remain on the topic of Wesley if we want this thread to remain open. :(

Interesting developments I'd say yesterday with Sneijder's, Gill's and Inter's apparent quotes.

Even since the Caf was fixed I've gotten the Star Trek message a lot and haven't been able to get on much, but I read the Gill quotes giving hope that we may still get a midfielder, but why is Sneijder the only one talked about, like he's the only possible option?

Not very interesting though: Gill said "who knows what could happen", Inter said "everybody have their price", Sneijder said something that hasn't even been confirmed.

Gill's "working on nothing", Inter have had no word from United and Sir Alex "can't see another addition". So I don't think there's anything new, we're still very, very unlikely to sign Sneijder.

exactly there is nothing concrete yet to suggest we are close to signing him...

Inter awaiting formal offer from Manchester United

Inter are waiting for Manchester United to make a formal offer for Wesley Sneijder before upping their interest in Carlos Tevez, Goal.com can reveal.

The Serie A giants are willing to negotiate the sale of their Dutch playmaker but are holding out for a straight cash bid of £35 million.

If United follow up the interest that was outlined in talks involving senior officials of the two clubs in Milan a fortnight ago, Goal.com understands that Inter will move for Tevez.

The Italians cannot afford the Argentine without first offloading Sneijder, who is no longer considered indispensable at San Siro following the arrival of new manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

United chief executive David Gill raised the prospect of a renewed attempt to sign Sneijder by admitting on Wednesday that Sir Alex Ferguson wants to recruit a "world class" player before the summer window closes.

It is understood that United have indicated they are willing to meet Inter's £35.2m asking price but the main stumbling block is the player's personal demands.

As revealed by Goal.com, sportswear giants and Sneijder's sponsor Nike could step in to meet the shortfall between the 27-year-old's £200,000-a-week demands and the £170,000-a-week that United are willing to pay.

"The transfer from Sneijder to Manchester United is still very much open," a source close to the situation told Goal.com. "Inter are still ready to negotiate a sale, but they will not undersell him. Inter know how much Sneijder is worth, and they know United want him, and so they will not sell him on the cheap.

"It's about big money. If United make an offer of €35m [£30.9m] or €40m [£35.3m] then they will sell him straight away. Inter just want cash and no part-exchange deal. It's not that Inter are desperate to sell him, but neither do they regard him as priceless or unsellable.

"Sneijder is considered a very important player, fundamental, but not indispensable, and so he will be sold for the right offer. Also, if Sneijder is sold Inter will make a dash for Tevez."

City are willing to soften their stance on Tevez in order to offload their leading scorer of the last two seasons before the window shuts.

Tevez has reiterated that he wants to leave the Etihad Stadium and City responded by placing a £50m price tag on the striker, a valuation they lowered to enable Brazilian club Corinthians to agree a £39m deal before a prospective move collapsed last week.

City are adamant they will not be so welcoming to a European club, particularly a Champions League rival.

But it is understood that the Premier League club will sell for closer to £45m and possibly even as low as £40m if a buyer is not found by the time the transfer deadline draws near.

Although manager Roberto Mancini is content to have four senior strikers in his first-team squad - Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy and Roque Santa Cruz are all deemed surplus to requirements - new signing Sergio Aguero is considered a replacement for, rather than a partner to, Tevez.

Inter believe Tevez would fit well into their new three-striker system, more likely in a wide attacking role, but do not regard him as a possible signing unless they have funds provided by the sale of Sneijder.

Sources say Tevez's meeting with Inter sporting director Marco Branca while on holiday in Sardinia last week was "casual" and too much should not be read into it.

goal.com, move along now people, nothing to see here.

Apart from Tevez meeting Inter reps on holiday you mean? Goal.com can report some true stories as well as false ones.

I don't think it's a secret Inter want Tevez, I also highly doubt their reps just happened to bump into Carlos on the beach he was on. "Oh what a surprise to see you here Carlos, as the club who are reportedly interested in purchasing you what a random coincidence this is... I wonder how we managed to pick the right beach and the right hour of the day on the right day of the 365 day year to bump into you on the beach. What a surprise and completely uncoordinated event this is. Have a good day."

Of course this is something Inter say is coincidence but they are hardly going to say to City "yes City, we were tapping your player up."

If Fergie got pictured shaking hands with Sneijder on his holidays this place would be in uproar.

Jeeeeesus Zarlak, relax. I clearly wasn't saying it in the overall context of the transfer, just goal.com and their stupid article. "Sources close to the club", pile of shite.
