I refuse to believe that, we were so utterly outclassed in central midfield by Barca, and even the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool at times, its clearly an area of weakness. Add to that, arguably our best midfielder of the last decade or so has retired and you're telling me we're NOT going to do anything about it?!

We've learnt absolutely nothing from that Howard Nurse tweet but it does back up the theory that Sneijder may well have been a decoy though, afterall it was Rene, our first team coach who sparked off the latest burst of speculation with his comments. Then others around the club joined in, Neville, Scholes etc. Now all three of those people have contact with SAF, so there's not a chance on earth that they were going to make such comments without his approval. The motivations behind them? Its anybody's guess. Did we want to try and unsettle Sneijder? Did we want the speculation to be moved on to Sneijder away from Nasri, i.e a decoy?

Anyway, that tweet by Howard Nurse is just confirming SAF's comments to ESPN. Would I take SAF's word at face value? Not a chance!
 
And what has Howard Nurse told us in the past that makes him a reliable source? Genuine question.
 
Perhaps Nasri and Sneijder were smoke-screens all along while we tried to convince Modric to leave London? To the Modric thread!

In my opinion, Nurse is incorrect. #MUFC have been / are in for Sneijder. Difficult to agree a deal like I've always said.But Nurse is wrong
