We'll finish fourth | Actually, we'll finish seventh

Part of it is our run is only now getting brutal...the easy run in kept us in it.

It's the hope that kills though. Forget the run in and the teams against. Just look at how we are playing. If we get top 4 from here....that would be a terrible indictment against Arsenal and Spurs. Not happening but still.
Good thing I have no hope then :D

(Controversial post ahead)

Of course we will finish 4th.

We have Ronaldo guys. If we don't get 4th he will probably leave. Do you actually think the FA isn't happy that Ronaldo is back in the PL? The publicity and earnings the FA gets because of him are huge. They don't want to lose him either.

We will get help if needed. Of course not something disgustingly obvious but maybe more extra time, more dangerous fouls in our favor, some forgiven yellow cards, etc. I'm confident we will make it.

Unless Ronaldo is moving to city... Then we are screwed

I think we finish 6th. Tottenham will get 4th

Unless Spurs and Arsenal completely implode, there is no way we are getting fourth. Tough fixture list as well when compared with Spurs.

If we can beat arsenal and Chelsea somehow then we should be alright. Spurs I think will drop points again, possibly at the weekend against Brentford. Arsenal still have Chelsea, us and West Ham but again there capable of dropping points against lower teams. I think it’s fair to say none of us 3 are consistent enough.

Arsenal is a must win and I think we need at least 2 points from the Liverpool and Chelsea games, otherwise, we're relying on Spurs and Arsenal to drop unexpected points.

Even though we're expecting 0 points tonight, as sad sounds I think it's important we don't take a hiding in case it's between us and Arsenal. Our current GD is +8, Arsenal's is +8, though Spurs have +18.

Arsenal have to go to Newcastle as well, who are looking really strong at home.

If we beat them I think we'll finish ahead of them. We'd have to win 5 of our last 6 to finish ahead of Spurs though and I just don't see that happening.

I could see us winning at Arsenal....don't see us picking up points against Liverpool or Chelsea

No chance of fourth.

Liverpool will probably destroy us if they can be bothered to.

Can’t believe we are still below Spurs after beating them twice and getting six points from them

By Saturday evening they'll be six points clear with five games to play.

We've really been our own worst enemies with our decisions and performances this season.

Relying on Spurs and Arsenal to drop unexpected points like they have done all season?

They have but so have we and we're the team in the least favourable position in terms of points and fixtures. If we're banking on Leeds or Burnley to get results for us is far from ideal and if push comes to shove I think we'll miss out on top 4 if we don't get any points from tonight or Chelsea.

Obviously I stopped to believe in top four finish having seen our performance vs. Liverpool, but let's see how many of you suppose I'm crazy enough.

It’s a shame really because as bad as we’ve been we’re still in with a chance.

Speaks volumes as to the quality of Arsenal and Spurs

Arsenal have lost 3 games in a row before today's match, played one game less and are still 3 points ahead of us.

4th my arse.

We'd get battered by Arsenal too. And we deserve every ounce of it. Can't wait for a new team to come in. Pogba leaving is godsend.

We would need to beat all 5 teams to get 4th, as much chance of that happening as their is of Harry Maguire turning into peak Ferdinand for these last 5 games.

Surely no one thinks we will get 4th after watching us yesterday, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t win another game this season.

The meltdown of Spurs and Gooners would be of epic proportions if we somehow fluked 5 wins in a row. Not that theres a chance in hell of is winning those 5 games

Not really. You've lost 4 games since November. Probably feels more with all the mind numbing 1-1s you've had.

Spurs lost that amount in about two weeks under Conte.

We will end the season with a negative GD.
Jesus, hadn't thought of that. I was feeling negative (and realistic) earlier when i said i think we'll struggle to reach 60 points this season which would be our lowest ever points total in the premiership but a few defeats may also put our goal difference in the negative too

This really is the worst level we've sunk to in the post fergie age
