Wouldn't the simple answer be for everyone to start clicking like crazy on the the ads, then we'll generate enough income to get the new server in no time?

Is it as simple as that? I'm game for it...
 
Hey Niall. Thanks for making the site improvements, 2 weeks ago this place would have been inaccessible, especially after a derby defeat. Stuff like this should be appreciated and noted. Thanks for the work you put into this place.

I couldn't get on for at least twenty minutes after the match, it's got better but there are still problems.

20 minutes, really? What kind of error pages were you seeing?

That's very odd, were you going to the homepage?

I was on the site straight after the game and things were working fine. There may have been the odd error page as we tweaked things during the initial spike in traffic, but the site has been responding solidly overall for me.

Anyone else not able to get on the site after the game?

At half time, when we went 3-0 down, and after the game. I do make the joke of other teams websites doing into meltdown, I guess it was my turn to suffer.
 
I too couldn't get on at half time.

Error message 404

Edit: it could have been 503

Yes, trying to get onto the homepage and also trying to move to the last page of threads I had open during the match.

Me. I didn't get the strain message but a database error one and something else.

Went on to "Redcafe Down" site and it checked and said "Redcafe is Down".
 
Someone quoted you in the Nani injury thread and I said they should ignore you as you were not a real doctor but a binman filled with self loathing. I got 2 PMs about it. Spas.
 
We've been tweaking a few things this morning/afternoon, so a few random error pages are likely. Shouldn't happen for more than a few seconds so just refresh and all should be well again.
 
I haven't been able to get into any threads at work (ahem) since late morning, tried using my phone & got straight in. The mod forum page was coming up but couldn't get into any threads. Then the home page came up but I couldn't get into any forums.
 
I had about 10 minutes when I got a blank screen whenever I tried to quote someone in the gen about noon. I'll log it better if it happens again.
 
Don't have any trouble on my phone or Google Chrome, but IE8 at work won't play ball where it was fine before.

Virtually impossible to post and constant requirement to reload pages which often won't reload.

Is there anything that can be done about it my end? It was perfectly fine before although a bit slow, when it does occasionally work now, it is certainly quicker though.
 
You shouldn't be surfing the caf in work ;)

Can you PM me your IP address in work next time you're accessing the site and the approximate time? can do a bit more investigating with that info.

Err it probably sounds like a stupid question, but how do I find out the IP address...:confused: presumably I look in Tools, Internet Options somewhere?
