Not great, got to be honest. :( Finished season 1, 3 episodes into season 2, but overall I'm still finding it quite boring. I'll stick to it but so far I'm not in love.
I can't remember the order but I think season three was where it turned to gold.

I can see how the first two seasons can seem a bit dated now. But season three is where it starts churning out classic episodes one after the other, all the way to season nine.

At the risk of breaking up the singing, The first two seasons have some great episodes. Maybe cos I saw them in the 90s and remember them fondly, but some of the episodes are classics:
Babysitter Bandit ep
Bart the Genius
Lisas substitute (one of my fav episodes from the early seasons)
Bart gets hit by car
The Herb Powell episode.

:D

We had all the boxsets from 4 to about 11. Not that I haven't seen all of them about ten times, but I should probably watch the first few seasons again, probably some gems on there I don't remember as well.

You could close down Moe's or the Kwik-e-Mart and nobody would care
But the heart and soul of Springfield's in our Maison Derriere...

I always assumed Phil Hartman was Scorpio because... well, he looked like Troy McClure. I am not a smart man.

Hank Scorpio: [It's Homer's first day at his new job and his Boss, Scorpio, is showing him around] You will notice, my new best friend, that we are very casual around here.

Homer: Yes Mr.Scorpion, very casual.

Is #1 The Call of the Simpsons where Homer gets mistaken for bigfoot?

And #4 is Bart the Genius.

Ahh yeah definitely Homer getting mistaken for Big Foot is the episode. Might try and find that to watch sometime, abit of nostalgia as it were!
