As a young United fan (and football too), the name Rooney has always been synonymous with Manchester United. It's a strange feeling knowing that he won't be a United player next season.Hopefully he rediscovers his form somewhat and has one or two good seasons before he retires. You will be fondly remembered for all that you have done for the club. Wish you all the best !

I honestly believe that if he hadn't got injured during the tournament he would have won England the Euros in 2004. He was an absolute force of nature back then and was virtually unplayable when he would just bulldozer his way through a defence.
The last few years have been a disappointment but that takes nothing away from his legacy in my eyes.

United have handled this whole thing so well. It had the potential to be a long, drawn out and acrimonious split but it wasn't. Class.

Not sure what people are on about Rooney being garbage for several years. He's only been garbage for the last couple years in my opinion. Before that he was decent enough but the club in general had awful management and a lack of ambition after Ferguson left. Hopefully he can get himself back into form and do a good job for Everton.
