like other things in football (McT remaining at Utd under multiple managers) it’s beyond me that anyone thinks Rooney is capable of being a good manager.

Something that happens to clubs all the time? What he did with Derby was amazing.
I think a lot of what happened at Derby was down to Liam Rosenior being the assistant. Apparently he was running most of the practices. What he did with Derby was amazing.
I don't think his Ego could handle being number two !!Can anyone think of a case when a failed-manager simply settles on becoming a coach instead? Not saying Rooney is a failed manager at this time, but just wondering whether he’ll end up thinking that being a “number 2” is better for him?
So... Like pretty much any successful manager?I think a lot of what happened at Derby was down to Liam Rosenior being the assistant. Apparently he was running most of the practices.

The successful manager is smart enough to have a top notch assistant. It looks like Wayne didn't get the right assistant this time.So... Like pretty much any successful manager?
I agree.... I think he is very good !!I think Rosenior will be managing a top club one day.
Rooneys an awful manager. Funny that some of our fans touted him as a potential manager one day.
Not Birmingham. One of the few making United look less shambolic in recent history, somehow.I agree.... I think he is very good !!
He needs to go to the right club though .
He’ll need the right people around him. He won’t develop himself.I mean he is only 38
There’s no reason he can’t develop in to a good manager/coach
Sounds like it's true. England's golden generation not doing well as managers.

Aside from talent.I mean he is only 38

He lost 9 out of his 15 games, absolutely shocking and well deserving of the sack.
Luckily for us we have a manager who only lost 8 from 15.
If they’ve got any sense they’ll swallow their pride and reappoint Eustace. What a farcical situation, not to mention costly in both promotion and monetary terms.
What a strange post.I know Birmingham is known as being an ugly city, but no one deserves Rooney as manager
He doesn't scream manager excellence to me.
Why? When it is not his responsibility to scout and recruit new players, why should a transfer window matter to judge his performances? The results have been poor so far but I still think every manager deserves a transfer window to prove themselves.
