Zlatan has scored 28 goals though, Ray. Rooney would have had 10.
He wont have to play 90 mins, he will score a few, ans assist as well, in first 20 minutes, and off he goes to sit in his own stand.
but of course
I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if Rooney goes on to play a pivotal role for us for the rest of the season.
Ummmmmm..........He's a good bloke: check
He's English: check
Wilkins likes good English blokes: check.
I don't think it, but that is Wilkins attitude. He was at it this morning on Talksport about someone being a bloke and you need blokes in your team. What the heck does that mean. They are all blokes aren't they?Ummmmmm..........
Somewhere Wayne Rooneys agent is sitting with a football manager / prospective buyer showing them highlight reels of Wayne's ability as a footballer while the manager thinks to himself, "I thought United were sponsored by Chevrolet and Adidas, not Nike and AIG..."

It's crazy isn't it, same age as Young and Valencia, both of whom look like infinitely better athletes.
On Talksport this morning he was saying that he didn't think Rashford can be a 20 goal a season man.Wilkins better focus on praising Rashford for carrying the whole team at the moment.
The obnoxious Rooney conspiratorial hysteria over a player being simply unfit to play football is just another distraction from clear positives that's happening at the club right now. Even Fellaini earning more trust as we speak than Wayne ffs.
Maybe Wayne reminds Ray of himself, in his United days?
Christ... His clutching to previous era will get him more flaming from fanbase than LvG after getting rid of Hernandez, RvP & Nani.On Talksport this morning he was saying that he didn't think Rashford can be a 20 goal a season man.
He reminds Ray of himself right now.
I thought last night was a fairly significant moment in Rooney's United career. I think we all know he's on the wane (sorry), and very likely to leave come the summer, but he was effectively told last night that he's less trusted than a 20 year old kid. One who is out of form, lacking confidence and isn't particularly doing it for the manager as it is. We needed to score a goal and Mourinho didn't think Rooney was up to scoring it.
It's not remotely disrespectful, mind you. Moreso the reality of the his newfound position. What Wilkins is saying has nothing to do with his lack of game time. It's just a strange rant.
Why?Rooney does work a lot for his teammates, that has always been the case. He does deserve a few games here and there but honestly right now we've too many crucial games coming up to risk our subs not coming on to make an impact.
Although I am quite concerned. It seems like half of these pundits don't actually watch the players they make these statements about PLAY.
Because he is a club legend, he hasn't moaned about his limited game time and he does actually work reasonably hard when he does play. Why?
The first two reasons are completely irrelevant.Because he is a club legend, he hasn't moaned about his limited game time and he does actually work reasonably hard when he does play.
