He's repaid the fee!31 and £250k a week? There are better options. He's top class, of course, but unless the fee was around £10m, there won't be many takers.

If he really wanted to show commitment he could have denied the story before it was even published, like Rooney did a few years back.

He was largely the difference in last years league title, had Arsenal had him he could likely have been the difference this time round too.31 and £250k a week? There are better options. He's top class, of course, but unless the fee was around £10m, there won't be many takers.

We will see but age only really has a massive impact on pace reliant players, he's never been pacey just technically gifted and deadly in front of goal. One of few players you could probably say age will have less effect on.He was only world class for United until february or march last year, after which he had a dry spell and than injury problems. Given his age, it is well possible that he will never repeat his last season's form.

I agree, but he had quite a few injury problems over the course of his career. Last season was one of his few injury free ones and perhaps all those injuries will start catching up with him and make him decline or simply unavailable for most games. He seems to have returned to his normal self inuury wise this season.
People blamed Moyes while conveniently forgetting that he has always been injury prone.
Hopefully on SundayActions speak louder than words.
It was just a joke.Rooney has been very creative when it comes to press interviews. He let the story grow forever when Fergie was here and Fergie came out to the media and told the world about Rooney's ambitions. Let's not forget history shall we? So far, Van Persie has always insisted that he's happy with the club and now he's put the rumours to rest.
It was just a joke.
Don't want to be a downer but he did a very similar interview before leaving us to join you lot.
i would prefer seeing him do the talking on the pitch.
It's not an uncommon thing. Torres and Suarez did similar things before they attempted to leave.
An on pitch interview? Fair enough I suppose

Shouldnt it be "RvP stop derailing our topics of debate and moaning"Stop trying to derail one of our few positive pieces of news opposition fans.
I'm tempted to be more cynical about this interview. He said he wanted to win trophies with Arsenal and no one else, before he left. But anyway, regardless of how happy he really is, this confirms that United won't let him go this summer even if he wants to. No point in publishing an interview like this and then see him leave in 2 months.
Was it a normal interview he did to the media? Or one that the club published themselves like this one?Torres did a very similar interview and left for Chelsea less than a month later.

I don't remember who published it. But he went on about wanting to stay here even longer, how he was delighted to get a chance to work under a legend like Dalglish and things like that.
Ha jokes on you because Moyes is not a legend! RVP stays!!
