Valencia CF

Ryan is shit. He just has this mindboggling ability of convincing people he's brilliant.
Shot stopping is sub-par, he's short, unimpressive in the air, handling is poor. He's okay with passing the ball around but that's about it.
Sub-par shot stopping? I suggest you rewatch his game against Torino in the Europa League because that's been his level over the last two years - if anything, it's one of his biggest assets alongside his contribution. I'm not even a Bruges fan but Ryan has been fantastic for them and really deserves this move. La Liga suits him way better than the Premier League and he'll be given plenty of opportunities to prove himself since Alves is out for a long time. At only 23, I think he'll be a success for them.

Valencia's manager Nuno also used to be a goalkeeper himself. Maybe he see's something in Ryan.

I'm Australian. I've seen every match he played for the Mariners and every match he's played for Australia. I've seen some of his Brugge matches. He's not good. In the A-league he was second best to Vuckovic and Galekovic. Possibly even Covic. For Australia he's worse than Langerak.
He was also notably chipped from the half-way line last season by Troisi.
He's just not good. He's not the standard of a team hoping for Champions league in Spain.

Well, I'm Belgian, I've seen all his games for Club Brugge the past 2 seasons and what you're saying is simply not true.
What he did or was in the A-league doesn't really matter anymore, players can grow.
Your NT-coaches quite clearly don't think the same about Ryan-Langerak.

The chip from the half-way line by Troisi is a ridiculous point. Things like that happen sometimes. Even more so with keepers who defend off their line. Hell, even Courtois got chipped from the half-way line this year, also a bad GK in your eyes then?

You can have your doubts, but saying he's not a good goalkeeper or doesn't have the qualities necessary is simply not true. A keeper without the necessary qualities can't play a game like he did against Torino in the Europa League for example. But I guess that game didn't fit in your argument?
