''Romney was the clear winner'' says the republican bint.''

Romney: B. Lack of proper substance but fairly articulate and won the gamble that Obama wouldn't call out his shit.

Obama: E. Just terrible, missed several easy opportunities to pound Romney and call him out on his lies. Rambled and landed nearly no jabs.

Comfortable win for Romney, not sure it's a game-changer but it should see the polls tighten.

Romney will be torn apart by the factcheckers. Annoying that Obama didn't press him on his many claims.

Romney will probably start speaking again soon.

The guy on sky looks like a serial killer.

Obama needs to grow a pair before the next debate and go at Romney's throat.

Republicans ''Don't need a plan''

"Give states control" is a Republican mantra that is insane. Especially for medicare. People in GOP states, who predominantly take out more money from the Federal government than they put in, will get what they deserve though, I suppose. Poor people will be screwed.

The whole premise of states rights irritates me. The whole point of the GOP giving states control over anything is that they can influence the people there much more. Federal agencies, like the EPA, are more insulated from Congress and outside influences than state organizations that often lack funding and face the threat of losing more funding. The federal government should be the standard. If states want to do better, fine. Regulation of everything goes to shit when it is placed in the hands of the states. It's bad in the federal level, but it's worse for states.

That all goes without mentioning the obvious and rampant corruption in state politics where no one knows anything about their representatives. They can get away with more because there is little to no attention paid to their actions unless it involves cutting jobs in some way. It plays on the ignorance and inattention of the American people to allow companies and groups to run the show.

''Romney's always been a centrist''

The moderator was horrible.

Easy win for Romney though, even if half of his 'facts' were completely wrong and he said nothing of substance. He was doing his 'saying whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear' thing again and Obama was too slow and lifeless to call him on it. Either that or he just didn't want to get into a mudslinging match, a bit of a misjudgement.

Did anyone notice when Romney said "their poor", as if poor people just like cattle owned by the states?.. he said the words "their poor" 3 times in 30 seconds.

If I knew nothing about either candidate going into the debate, I would probably wind up voting for Romney...very weak performance from Obama.

Romney's Part I on tax cuts - he said will not add to the deficit.

Gets an incomplete because he's not unveiled a plan, according to CNN.

Obama should have nailed him on this plan. What's in it, Mitt?

That bad, huh? How're ye anyway?! I'm gonna wait for South Park to come online then.

Funnily enough, Mitt often looked like a South Park character during the debate.

Obama did not want to get into a mud slinging match. But we have video...where Romney has said the exact opposite of what he said today.

Incoming ads showing where Romney was misleading the public, followed by republicans calling Obama a coward who won't say it to Romney's face.

Hopefully, the Republicans taunting him especially after this horror show will wake him up for the next debate. Should be better anyway, since Obama has been stronger on foreign policy.

Construction paper at least has a little depth to it.

I am concerned!

the funny thing about debates is the ordinary people see things different from pundits. All the lib pundits are angry Obama did not hit Romney.

What Obama did though is get Romney to admit to wanting to have a voucher program and that Romney did not give any specifics whatsoever.

Everyone in here was angry that Obama didn't hit Romney. Think you're being very generous to Obama by crediting him with doing anything tonight. He was awful.

Lets just say I know that Obama is a very smart man. He did not challenge Romney on the 716 medicare BS for a reason.

Obama was pretty condesending in not even looking at Romney.

Romney lied and Obama allowed him to.

Good fodder for adds.

Just wait.

Ooooh.

"Nancy Cordes ‏@nancycordes
CBS News instapoll: 46% said Romney won. 22% said Obama won. 32% said tie. Decisive win for Romney."

Genius. Lose the debate so that you can use stuff in ads. You should work for the campaign as a spin artist.

Obama was just poor.
