PPP, in their latest poll of Ohio voters, asked an odd question, "Who do you think deserves more credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden: Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?" Their responses, by party of voter:

The reality is america like a telegenic president. Hillary in 4 years time will look even more tired.

I like Spitzer but he's bald and was caught with prozzies... god knows what happens when one of them becomes a born-again, crawls out of the wood work and start telling some bedroom stories.

you know you are losing when you have to talk about God.

Willard is getting ridiculous.

Y'know, trying to play the piety card was bad enough, but trumpeting that he's going to keep "In God We Trust" on our money?

Only Romney could be forced to go to something so ridiculously off the radar as what mottos we put on the nickel.

The irony is this guy is not even a Christian...and it is quite funny seeing these evanglicals supporting him. But then again when I see Pat Robertson there too, I am not suprised.

None of these people are Christians.

And whether Barack Obama is a Christian or not, his polices seem to have the support of the nuns who actually work with the poor.

Time the republicans actually start reading the bibles they swear by.

Was talking to a friend after mass last Sunday and he said he refused to pray for this amedment to teh state consitution that says Yes that marriage should be between a man and a woman only...unless they also say No to divorce too.

He was just saying how hypocritical the church was in this. I have a cousin, a Catholic who is married to a divorcee. He is all for this YES vote. I could so easily throw the argument my friend made to his face, but I don't want to hurt his wife who is a decent lady.

So I just don't talk to him. Think even a thicko like him would have got the message.

Your church is asking you to pray for this? That's outrageous.

31% didn't understand the question.....

Tell me about it.

I'm waiting for their 'big hint' to vote for the Mormon come close election day. And I will challenge my priest then.

the Catholic Bishops are kin hypocrits. The nuns are the true Christians.

I'm not really one to comment on religious stuff as I don't believe, but it sounds like your priest is out of line.

It must be hard to bite your lip.

Osama = bad
Obama = bad
Osama dead = good
Obama good = bad
Obama kill Osama = Osama dead = good
Obama kill Osama = Obama good = bad
∴ Good = bad
∴ Bad = good
Islam = bad
∴ Islam = good
∴ Allah = good
∴ Allah = Obama
∴ Alabama = Islamabad?

In 2008 I just about walked out in the middle of the sermon...if not for my wife.

Every time there is something controversial said like this several of us gather after mass and just 'bitch' about it. :lol: The fact is it is a very conservative parish with a handful of us liberals. and to a man every non-white person there I know votes Democrat.

What I understand from those who work with the priest is that he like many others I am sure are given 'directives' by the Arch-Diocese. I used to give money each year for their appeals. This last time they called I told them exactly what I felt. I'm still not excommunicated though :)

But occasionally when a visiting priest comes, we get to hear someone who I used to remember. The Irish priests in general I know are Democrats. I remember this old fella after Bush got re-elected in 2004. "Yesterday Bush united all the White people" :lol:

I laughed out loud. But it did not go down well with most though.

And he can also look into a way to reconnect Jesus and Lucifer, lost brothers from the Eternal Father, who came from Planet Kolob and impregnated the Virgin Mary.
