McCarthy was in big trouble the minute he didn't get voted in as Speaker with the first vote

If the bill makes it to the floor, which one assumes it would given that this is his agreement, then it'll pass, there's enough "normal" Democrats and Republicans to pass it

But McCarthy will be toast because of what he agreed to in his quest to become Speaker

We will see how many holdouts there are for this deal on the republican side.
Imagine a scenario where more dems than republicans vote for this? McCarthy might as well cancel press conference after, that would be complete humiliation for him.

There'll be holdouts on both sides but there'll be tactical issues at play, some will vote for this because they don't want to be on the record of voting to allow the US to default, they know that they'll pay at the next election if they do

For some it doesn't matter, the likes of Gaetz and Greene have already achieved what they wanted to achieve

McCarthy knows what's coming, he's also met his goal which was to be elected Speaker, he also knew how it would end

Wouldn't be US politics without Rand Paul concern trolling over the debt.

Anyway, so more democrats actually voted for this than republicans, he may get his deal done, but that is a humiliation for McCarthy.

The interesting bit is she previously wrote favorably about Putin in the years preceding her allegation, which was at the time largely glossed over by the media because they were at the time fixated over what she alleged about Biden. Now, in retrospect, her sudden "defection" is leading many to wonder if she was put up to the entire thing by Putin in an effort to ensure Trump's reelection.

The funny bit that will be lost in the RWNJ echo world is why would one choose to defect to Russia of all locations? She could have moved to St Croix, or anywhere in Europe, etc.

that first video...he is speaking in a combination of anger at "immigrants" for "making a scene and leaving the state", and at the same time is seemingly speaking to them like he thinks they are mentally challenged. Am I the only one that gets that impression?
