So you just want to ignore the audio and it is a lot more than just cuts and bruises. The case was dropped because his girlfriend was an uncooperative witness not because of a lack of evidence. If you are fine enabling and supporting an abuser then good for you.

Not true, Gandalf. It doesn’t work like that in U.K, and the CPS wouldn’t have just dropped such a high profile case in the current climate unless it wasn’t worth pursuing at all.

We don’t know why it was dropped, other than - NEW EVIDENCE was discovered. Whatever that is, it’s very possible that it changed the context of the bits and pieces we saw / heard.

Until we know what that is, let’s at least hold off deciding we know all the details. Because we don’t.

So are we allowed to talk about this now???
I received a ban for saying less than what is being talked about on here regarding this subject without mentioning any names.

Mind sharing where you got that information? I've never seen anything about new evidence.

To be clear, it was the official statement from the crown prosecutor: https://www.cps.gov.uk/cps/news/mason-greenwood-cps-discontinuance-charges

The GMP statement is less detailed.

Thanks Doc. Was just looking it up myself. The majority of headlines at the time referenced only key witnesses pulling out , including CNN , although it is in the CPS quote that there was "new material that came to light"

Im not trying to defend violence. But the last time I saw you know who on social media hanging out with his gf, they look very happy together now, I also read the news about them about to get married soon. I hope what I saw is the reality, that the girl is now living a good life and doesnt have lingering trauma, regardless of wheter mr whatshisname is still United player or not.

I genuinely hope they have a really happy, successful life together.

Hope that Love wins out in their story (as it appears to be doing - touch wood).

Too many victims of domestic violence stay with their parents despite it. Having a child together often times one of the things that incapacitates them in the situation. Relatives that aren't supportive another one.

Statistically, it does not look good for the girl. One can only hope that Mason is on some path of self improvement and change.

Sorry mate, but that's the most naive thing I've ever read on this forum.

If you're hoping and praying for their family, you'd be better directing it towards Masons rehabilitation rather than "love winning".
