United players that will be sold this summer

Yes let's sell two of our better outfield players this season. Great idea.

I think DDG, Evans, Rafael, RVP, Falcao are off. Not counting Nani, Cleverley and Hernandez as they were on loan but they'll be off too.

De Gea, Rafa, Evans, RvP, Nani and Hernandez will be the big players to go. I also think if anybody is interested in Fellaini and we get a decent offer we'd let him go too.

I'm excited to be honest, I know it's a clearout, but we're going to bring in reinforcement, and it's time for a new United (that's the muppet talking)

I've given up hope on

Valencia (he's finished, he's not the winger he used to be and our possession play style won't suit him)
Rafael (injured all the time, you're only good if you're playing)
Evans (young and learning until old and gray it seems)
Hernandez (the bridge is burnt), Nani (let's just sell him and move on shall we, he's blowing hot and cold)
Rooney (he's giving us too much selection headache, not good enough up top, average on other positions, captains and 300k / week means he'll have to play, but he runs a lot though)
RvP (Finished, he can be a good backup, but not as the main striker of a team wishes to challenge for glory)
Falcao (Finished, he may come good, but we don't have the time/money/luxury to find it out)

I really don't think that many players will leave this summer. The squad is looking very thin at the minute and we're going to need and increase in squad depth to cope with the extra games in Europe next season, as well as the obvious depth needed for when we have injuries - which as proved this season was quite often. I expect the following to leave; De Gea, Rafael, Nani and Hernandez. Falcao's loan will expire of course. Then it will be time for incoming transfers.

Seems everyone forget Anderson... No mention of him here... Poor Ando

One of the three goalkeepers will be gone, maybe two.
Evans is gone.
Rafael is gone.
I imagine that we'll be trying to sell Nani all summer long, but probably won't be able to find a buyer.
Hernandez is gone.
I suppose that it's possible that van Persie will go, but I doubt it.
A few reserve players will go.
I think that's about it.

is it weird that i find these threads therapeutic?

As per, we won't get what we should for our players. The below amounts are what i think we will get.

Amos. Free
DDG. 20m (although hidden somewhere inside a bale fee )
Evans. 3m
Rafael. 5m
Mata. 20
ADM. 30
Nani. 8
Hernandez. 5
Clev. Free
RvP. 5

Will surely leave: Lindegaard, Rafael, Thorpe, Henriquez, Varela, Amos, Cleverley and Falcao
Will probably leave: DDG, Di Maria, Evans, Nani, James and Hernandez
May leave: Valencia, RVP, Young, Fellaini, Mata

Its kinda hilarious that we're going to sell Rafael, for probably 7M top, and buy Clyne for 3x as much. Rafael is top class in my books, the club/he just needs to keep him/himself injury free.

The problem is that he's a crock

decent player on the pitch > Magnificent player in the treatment room

De Gea - £30 million
Evans - £5 million
Rafael - £10 million
Nani- £10 million
Hernandez - £10 million
Lindegaard - £5 million
Powell - £5 million

Falcao - end of loan
Cleverley - release

Along with other youth players like Will Keane who probably won't make it. The reason I think we can get £30 million for de Gea is because of Real Madrid's potential transfer ban next year which means they will be desperate to get him this year.

No way Blackett will go he recently signed a new contract. Unless van Gaal has totally changed his views on him or someone comes in with an offer too good to refuse for all parties then he will stay.

Evans £3m
Mata £20m
DDG £25m
Hernandez £5m
Nani £5m
Rafael £3m

Since we're shit at selling players

Evans £3m
Mata £20m
DDG £25m
Hernandez £5m
Nani £5m
Rafael £3m

Since we're shit at selling players

It's true.

I could see Evans £3m to someone like Everton, who seem to utterly rinse us for players who then become key starters for them.

Yeah this. Blackett will probably go on loan before being sold too, same with Lingard and Powell.

Given that we can expect a sizeable outlay in terms of transfer sending, who will leave and what can we expect to get for them?

Falcao, RVP - Won't sign the latter and the other can go for free. Would clear £24m a year in wages roughly.

Hernandez - £7-10m maybe?

Evans - £5-10m?

Valencia, Nani - £5-10m? If that considering their wages.

I don't forsee us making much from sales to be honest as the value of most of the players we will want to shift is very low.

i think there is a significantly greater chance that Rafa will go and Valencia will become a squad utility player. Assuming that a 1st choice right back is signed.

I think Nani, Evans, Hernandez, Cleverley and Lindegaard are goners.

Young and Fellaini have removed themselves from death row.

Sold:Lindegaard, Amos, Rafael, Evans,Blackett,Hernandez,Powell, Thorpe and possibly Di Maria

Hope:As much as he has progressed it would be a good time to sell Fellaini, he's had a good season but not phenomenal and we can maybe get around 15m for him

Leave: Cleverley on a Free and we wont take Falcao's option of purchasing him permantly

Loan: Lingard, Wilson (Depends on who we sign) and a few other u21's

Now with De Gea I just have this feeling he wont go this year, we wont accept anything like 20m for him and unless Madrid are willing to offer a lot more or Bale I feel he will stay another season and sign a new contract with a personal promise if we agree a reasonable fee with them next season he can go (Like Ronaldo)

I think Cleverley has set a very wrong precedent for United players, I can easily see someone like Evans now kind of taking the same route with just one year on his contract

RVP
Falcao
Evans
Nani
Di Maria
Hernandez
Rafael
De Gea
Cleverly

Rafa, De Gea, RVP, Falcao, Henriquez, Hernandez, Nani, Powell, Cleverley and Evans will all be gone. I'd want a RB, CB, DM, CM, GK and ST to replace them.

How did we miss out on getting a few million for Cleverley? If he couldn't agree on wages with I think it was Everton, wouldn't we have been better off paying the difference in wages (say 1m a year) and getting a 6m or whatever transfer fee?

Yeah.

Extraordinary situation: A club have a player with one year left on his contract, whom they don't want. And yet somehow allow him to see out his contract playing for another Premiership club, and lose him for nothing when his contract expires. It takes an unprecedented degree of incompetence to achieve that.

Sold for sure: Lindegaard, Nani, Hernandez, Powell
Leaving (No Fee): Falcao, Cleverley, Amos

I think Evans and Rafael may get a stay of execution. LvG will have seen our injury issues in defence and may be reluctant to let go of Evans even if we sign another CB. I could see us keeping Evans around and he may choose to leave here in January. As for Rafael, I think it hinges on us signing Clyne which doesn't look to be the certainty it once did. If Clyne signs a new contract just to drive his price up, I think we'll walk away from any deal as I don't think we'll be willing to pay over 20 Million for him. On top of that, Van Gaal seems to really rate Valencia.

A young-ish English player too, so there should have been no problem getting a decent fee. I guess Cleverley just wouldn't agree to a long-term deal for the wages he was offered and nobody was going to sign him for any real money with only a year left on the deal.

Maybe our hands were sort of tied as a result of our earlier mistake of overpaying him?

I can't see any scenario in which Rafael stays with us. I honestly can't remember the last time he played a match, Van Gaal has even preferred McNair to him at right back. He hasn't just been injured all season, he was available for large stretches and was just blocked out.

My prediction:

de Gea
Amos
Evans
Blackett (loan)
Rafael
Cleverley
Januzaj (loan)
Nani
Powell (loan)
Hernandez
Henriquez
Falcao (loan expire)
W. Keane
Wilson (loan)

Leaving our squad (before further signings like):

GK: Valdes, Lindegaard, Johnstone

DF: Smalling, Jones, Rojo, McNair, Valencia, Shaw

MF: Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini, Blind, Pereira, Mata, di Maria, Depay, Young

FW: Rooney (c), van Persie

I would add Lindegaard to that sales list, but with the uncertainty over de Gea's future and the distinct possibility it could drag all season, I don't think we'll let Lindegaard leave immediately as we will be lining up a replacement for him and with limited viable options out there, it could dragalso.

When last has Raf remained injury free?
IMO he is one of the best RB's in the league when on form, but his injury record is atrocious and he is as good as gone.
Not sure about Clyne and would have preferred Danilo or Darmian but thats how it goes with us sometimes.

We will not sell Di Maria and Mata.

Dont think Evans will be sold...certainly not Jones.
DDG,Rafael,RvP,Falcao(no renewal) and other bit players...some of the loan players. I dont think all loan players will be sold either.
It would be highly irresponsible to whittle down the squad so much without adequate replacements. We are now in the CL and will be poised to be much stronger on all fronts.

I expect some strong additions...but not an entire bus load top replacements.

I think Evans is gone, Jones and Smalling are here to stay.
IMO Hummels & Clyne are as good as ours as Depay is.

Not sure who LVG wants for CM, but I hope its either Veratti or Pogba.
Id almost swap ADM for Veratti at this point.... I think Verratti might actually want to play for us unlike ADM.

Interestingly, the boss has also held talks with several United players who could potentially leave the club for pastures new in the summer, although he has respectfully declined to identify those who might move on to different clubs.

“You know that I shall talk with them - we will have a farewell drink after the match. I have the Monday to talk [as well]. I have spoken to some players this week. You have to wait and see how these talks develop in terms of players staying or going away.”

Have a feeling that Januzaj will be sold, dont think LVG likes him. Def going on loan anyway.

Whenever i read one of these threads it reminds me how many people don't have a clue. If you think we are getting rid of fellaini, young, mata or valencia then you must be joking. Three of those have been valuable players for us this season and all four have an important role in the squad. It takes more than a load of players with good fifa stats to build a successful team, the aforementioned players are the ones considered tactically adept in the system.

I think time is up for rafael and evans unfortunately. falcao is obviously gone, but i think we will keep rvp... you need to have depth up front and we will be a bit light with just wilson and rooney. Players on loan will be sold and yanoosai will go on loan to make room for memphis.

I think we may look at a cb and a replacement for carrick. Perhaps a striker... but who is available?!

Rafael 8m
Evans 12m
Nani 8m
Hernandez 10m
Lindegard free
Cleverly free
RVP free

Think we'll get something for RvP myself, maybe £5 million, if we can get £12 million for Evans then that would be stunning, I was thinking more like £4 million.

Add Powell, Lingard, Henriquez, Amos, and likely DDG to the list.
