United eyes on Krasic

He's quality. Felt we should have got him instead of Valencia in the summer, but Valencia did his part tonight too.

He played well, though he runs with his mouth open like he's in complete shock all the time.

Quality player. Have a feeling this will be his last year in Russia.

I still don't rate Akinfeev, his kicking under pressure wasn't amazing and he rarely comes out for crosses, quality shot stopper though.

As for Krasic, looks a real good player..but do we have room for him?
Yes, we could do with "booting" 1 or 2 players next summer

his direct style and running style reminds me of kanchelskis-would be a good signing, complete opposite to Nani who's languid arrogant style is begging to get on my nerves.

If United signed him, I have little doubt that his flaws would be found soon enough by the caf

But we can always say we "found him" :D

Have to say, those Serbs are looking pretty strong. Will be interesting to see if they implode again this WC.

Its possible, its in our nature but Antic makes a HUGE difference and I just don't see the same thing happening. We don't have trouble makers like Kezman in the camp neither is their the bosses son in the squad like in WC 2006. I'm confident we can get through to the knockouts though.

From the Russian League - two other players that could be of interest are Alexander Bukharov of FK Rubin Kazan with an impressive run of late... and FC Moscow's Alexei Rebko could be a prospect that will shine through the coming World Cup.

I'd rather see Fergie move in for Bukharov for the winter transfer window, though. By the time the World Cup rolls around, his price tag will be greatly inflated.

He went out of his way to avoid using his left peg when he scored.

I wonder what's the Valencia bashers take on that?

Bukharov is no more than average. In terms of Rubin's attack, its all about Dominguez. Quality on his passing and crossing and he's proven he can score goals in this champions league campaign too.

Bukharov seemed to me the Russian version of Toni, much worse though :D

I was very impressed with Dominguez, whom I already 'got to know' during his Zenit years and their left fullback Ansaldi. Ryazantsev looks good too.

AC Milan legend Savicevic urges Krasic to reject Man Utd

AC Milan legend Dejan Savicevic has urged CSKA Moscow star Milos Krasic to choose his old club ahead of Manchester United.

Krasic admits he dreams of playing for United, but Milan are also chasing the Serbia international winger.

And Savicevic told Blic: "The Russian league is a very tough competition nowadays, among the top four or five leagues in Europe, and Krasic is a great athlete and he runs a lot and is very skilled.

"Personally, I would love to see him sign for Milan, where I used to play. He would have a smooth transition to the Serie A as he is coming from a tough league and he is young.

"It's important for Milos to sign for as great a club as possible, because his top class is unquestioned.

"I know he would find it easier to get accustomed in Manchester United alongside his compatriot Nemanja Vidic, but I'm still in favour of Milan."

Only says he would love to see for Milan, not that he's urging him too. He also fails to mention Tosic and our other Serbian youngster coming- still haven't learned to spell it and hope someone comes up with a nickname soon :nervous:

How'd he do over the weekend?

PS The Russian league is not in the top 3-4...

Seen Spartak vs CSKA today, Krasic played very, very well, assisted for two of the goals (ended 2-3). Some nice penetrative runs topped with excellent crosses - especially the one for the first goal.

Akinfeev played decent. Conceded a peno and should've done more for the second goal.

He's been superb against Wolfsburg so far. What a top quality winger. I wonder if this lad can play on the left side, because we've already got a very good (and very one-sided!) right winger in Valencia.

I'm all for signing Krasic regardless. Great player.

He's got a left foot, but I've seen him quite a few times now and only ever on the right or in a central role. Basically anywhere but the left. :nervous:
