United after USA youngster

Gonna need a player with some serious defensive responsibilities if you have both Holden and Torres in the middle.

Torres plays more of a defensive midfield, central midfielder. US fans keep wanting him to be an attacking midfielder, but he's far better playing deep. Like a Carrick, but who tackles more.

Holden had more tackles than anyone in the PL last year before his injury. He can be very defensive.

Klinsi is obviously favoring a 3-man midfield. Jones and Williams are sure to feature somehow.

I have never seen Torres play as a defensive/holding midfielder. Does he do this in Mexico? Take a look at him and Bradley against Slovenia (seriously, Slovenia) in the WC. Neither had a clue defensively. It was so bad BB subbed off Torres for Edu to start the second half in order to get a midfielder with an ounce of defensive awareness.

Holden is more of a two-way player, box-to-box if you will. But he's not like a Barton or Parker in that sense. A quality player but rather see him team with a player like Edu, Jones or Johnson in a two-man midfield. If they go three-man, then add Torres to the mix (or whomever else).

He's going to train with Arsenal for a month during the MLS off-season. Hopefully he is able to improve his skill level while there and overall as a player.

Pretty reliable journo reporting sources he trust told him Dynamo Kiev have bid $10 million for Brek.

The problem with MLS players is the league controls the player's rights not the club. So Brek could agree a move but MLS may not find the fee to their liking or whatever nonsensical bullshit. They've done this with other players in the past (Mathis, Johnson, etc.). Hopefully, Brek gets a move soon but not so sure Russia is the right spot for him.

Pulis will do his usual trick of signing a player like that and never playing them.

He said in a second tweet that he was being looked at as a left back, which isn't his natural position.

He remind me of Bale and is far too good for MLS. This a good stepping stone for his career.
