Well clearly voting conservative is in your best interest....if you don't give a feck about others.

the private rental sector is very important. Lots of people don’t want to buy. If you had to buy a house every time you wanted to mo e to a new location, there would be zero social mobility. The effect of this policy would be catastrophic for the housing market. Rents would dramatically increase and supply restricted. Unscrupulous landlords would not rent to certain demographics of worker. That’s the effect it would have. Nothing to do with not giving a feck as you put it...

It’s precisely because I care about people I work with and for (my tenants) that I am very successful where others are not.

Well I'm in a similar position to you but I'd never vote tory.

Are you guys on whatsapp now? If this is true, then it's all over. There is no way to win back whatsapp voters.
Hard to tell but I don't think WhatsApp has been much of a factor in this election - I've seen a couple of pieces about the parties trying (and failing) to utilise it. I guess it's hard to tell though - if it's only spreading in certain demographic pools that typically aren't represented in the media... would we know?

He could have cut down his word count there and just written "I'm alright, Jack".

Pretty much. I make good money out of my tenants but I don't mind making less money if it means things get better for people less fortunate than me. I've been in the position of having very little and needing help so I know how tough it can be.

Also, these types of people seem to think that everyone else is perfectly capable of owning £3m worth of property and are just too lazy or stupid if they haven't done as well as them. You can't make money without having money. Not everyone is born into good fortune, and even if they were, it stands to reason that it is impossible for everyone to be equally successful (if you want to call hoarding property successful).

My 'success' came through luck and good timing. Buying houses during the property crash when we were fortunate to have the money and credit rating. Nothing particularly clever about it. But here the system is set up so that the well-off have it easy and it's piss-easy to keep making money from your money.

Ruchard Tice talking bollocks of rainbows and unicorns and Corbyn gets the flak :wenger:

Leave.EU said vote Richard in Hartlepool he dates supermodels

Haha feck no. Dude, have you seen any of my comments on this thread? They're 99% about how I think the Beeb and Laura K are lying Tory puppet cnuts.
 Sorry just wondered if you bought into sun ztu's bullshit reasoning.

group sizes are limited are they not? I think they have banned or are going to ban forms of broadcasts through WhatsApp as well. Think the reach is extremely small therefore.

Never seen her speak before but Rebecca Long-Bailey is excellent. These sort of realisations are what blag my mind about Corbyn being in charge.

 the day that happens will be the day I need the bolts around my neck tightened.

Although I'm interested to see how this plays out now - Boris can now do what he always does and blame someone else for his failings.

would you be happy if you were forced to sell one of your assets?

I have never raised the rent in any of my properties for existing tenants. I only change rents for new tenants. I don’t believe in extracting the maximum from tenants and increasing rents every year

Make no mistake it’s not purely altruistic, I believe you treat your tenants with respect they will look after your property and stay longer.

From a personal perspective The Tories have cost me a lot of money over the past 3-4 years with their punitive assault on landlords. Stamp Duty, interest relief, intention to scrap section 21 with no adequate change to section 8. Quite frankly the Tories have tried their best to tax the shit out of private landlords - so my decision to vote is far from self interest.

Your altruism is greatly appreciated by those you will help burden with another Tory government.

At least in India, the media only woke up about 3 years after it started dominating as a news source. As you said, it's hard to know for sure, unlike with fb or Twitter.

We're talking past each other.
nickm said Theresa May cannot be anti-semitic because even though she unveiled the statue of a Nazi supporter, May did this because of her qualities other than Nazi support. That is, nickm claims to know what May's internal thought process behind the statue was. If that same standard, of assuming Corbyn's internal thought process, was used for his controversial actions, then the charge of anti-semitism would not stick.
Eh? I said she was celebrating the first women MP, that's all, sort of thing you'd expect a women MP to do. She wasn't laying wreaths at an anti semitic shrine. I don't know whether May is anti semitic or not, but I suppose if she was always hanging around with nazis, a bit like you know who hangs around with antisemites, then maybe you could say there was something in it...?

The Tories have got their answer to Ed Miliband, this guy is a right wet blanket.

Epic reply, but your right, we should give away all of our assets to those less fortunate, that also means you giving away your iPhone.

Chavvy lad on Facebook just shared this. Couldn't be any more working class.

Fed up of this country. I want to split it in half and force them to live with their choices forever, the thick fecking pricks.
You might want to try and send this to your pig shit thick mate(Although I doubt it will work)

Theresa May was celebrating a statue of an anti semite. You have no issue with this?

Do I sense double standards from you?

Theresa May unveils statue of 'virulently antisemitic' first woman MP

I think it was probably unwise, yeah. But I don't think it's evidence of May being antisemitic by itself. Churchill's had some pretty unpleasant views too, but I don't think anyone would say unveiling a statue of him was (necessarily, or primarily) celebrating those views. Or do you?

given the fact a Corbyn government would be a disaster (much more so than a Tory government - and I am far from saying they are perfect) you can thank me for my vote.
I just did, especially as it disadvantages you so due to the the Conservative's vicious attacks on the revenue from your property portfolio. You're a good egg.

At least he's concerned that the tories are making people too poor thus reducing the potential pool of renters.

god forbid anyone being successful. You must hate flying on virgin planes and resent playing on your Amstrad (somewhat dated reference!!). Just imagine the assets these guys have?

on a serious note, do you have a threshold of earnings - over which you dislike that person? Is there a limit to what people should earn?

If you see someone disliking you for your selfishness and the first thing you think is "they just hate me because I'm successful" then I don't think you'll understand their response.

Isn't the dislike due to you being a selfish Tory voter and not how much you earn... I mean they both stated they are in the same line of business as yourself and you don't even know if you earn more

Yet, as I’ve already stated I’ve previously voted labour - it’s the current leadership (labour) that i would never vote for.

I love the assumption someone is selfish because of the way you vote in an effectively binary vote (obviously ignoring the liberals like most people).

You really think a bit of labour socialism will be worse than a no deal brexit and suckling up to trumps US?
