UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

What’s the deal with Liverpool fans following along with the CL game whilst posting on a UTD forum? Not having a go, just trying to make sense of that?
I respect it, because they admit that even if it’s not easy for them to be surrounded by Pool haters, they are aware Caf is the best football forum in the internet.

The usual suspects were posting on here seconds after Harvey Elliott’s winner last week. It’s very odd.
Having fans from other clubs is great, I just thought it would only ever be fans of smaller teams who would actually sign up and post. I’d imagine none of the Liverpool fans on here are actually English?

As football forums go it's pretty friendly, so I'm not surprised a few scousers are on here. Obviously if it were like RAWK they'd be called scumbags and banned

The United one or the Sevilla one?

Yes.

You'll get unparalleled exposure and a boost in TV revenue with his signing. They put him on the thumbnail for their win over Madrid less than two weeks ago and with 10m views it's already within the top 15 most viewed video of all time on their channel. They also released a a compilation best of even though he's barely been there a month

Bayern playing Inter next. Expecting a narrow margin or going to pens.

New Champions league table counted for nothing as PSG finished 15th and Liverpool 1st

So how do you rejig it? Top 8 teams get to pick who they face? Even in the old system you ended up with blockbuster first knockout ties.

Least the famous Anfield crowd woke up for 5 minutes to cheer them on in the 88th minute

Most of the people wanking him off were United fans

That and Arsenal vs Madrid (either of them) are the ties to look for in the 1/4s…

Can’t see Paris or Barcelona bottling theirs.

Asking a treble winning manager if that’s the “best champions league” game he’s ever seen is embarrassing really

Never in doubt.

As I predicted, PSG won the penalty shoot-out. Better GK, better penalty takers. To think someone on this thread talked about lottery.

You'd expect that to be close. Inter only conceded 2 goals in 10 CL games this season so far - one was at Leverkusen in 90th minute, the other was penalty tonight for Feyenoord. Really solid team.

They had to beat Bayern in the RO16 or quarters that season. It was the 2021 CL where they didn't play a decent team till the final.
Ah I just remember them playing Porto in the quarters, whereas our reward for that night in Paris was a quarter final vs Messi's Barca.

I'm not convinced PSG will win it this season. I think Real/Atletico or Arsenal could do them over two legs.

Very good age for the squad though and certainly a lot of potential.
For me, they will lack that cutting edge in the latter stages. But they are a formidable side and nobody will want to draw them with the pace and intensity they play at.

That man to man marking also leaves a lot of space to exploit. Liverpool didn't quite manage to click in the final third over the two legs but created plenty of 'situations' without translating them into real chances in transition.

A semi final of PSG vs Real Madrid has the potential to be the tie of the decade. The best coached team in Europe against the team with by far the best players in Europe. Enrique against his former club and El Clasico rivals. Mbappe going back to a reception in Paris as hostile as anything a player can ever receive.

Simply too good, and I doubt any of Atletico, Arsenal, or Villa will be able to stop it from materialising.
