UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

I feel like I never see goals in extra time anymore. Our 4-3 win over Liverpool being the only exception in recent memory. Reckon they'll eventually go straight to pens after 90 mins.

He's still pretty decent, obviously a big frame that helps. Looks as though his save percentage in normal time from pens is like 25% which seems pretty good, and he definitely built a bit of a reputation early for saving them. Not sure what his shootout record is like overall though.

(For what it's worth, generally looks like he concedes way more diving to his right than the other side - if it's goes to pens let's see how that plays out!)

I don't have any numbers but off the top of my head probably only Costa could be considered 'excellent' but I'm sure the stats will probably say otherwise.

I've just never been convinced by Donnarumma when I see him in open play. He seems to play a lot smaller than his frame and is stuck to his line so have always subconsciously thought he'll also probably won't that be 'excellent' at penalties.

Yeah the teams are shattered at the end of 90, and rather than go for broke they just play conservatively.

Need PSG to buck that trend here as surely they won’t be getting the better of Alisson on penalties. Although Donarumma’a quite good at them right?

Kang Lee's contribution so far has been to run the ball straight out over the sideline and shepherd the ball out for a Liverpool corner!

Wild that fouls on the goalkeeper like that were never called against Onana for a lot of this season

He's meh, nothing spectacular since the Euro Italy won.

Robertson's birthday today. The other two birthday's he's played for us on were the Atletico 3-2 defeat in 2020, and a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Does PSG have a striker or anybody resembling a striker who would hold the ball up for them. I can not believe a team with soo much money and basically monopoly on French talent have no proper striker. Ball keeps coming back with nobody to hold it and link it.

Part of it is because Onana never really separated himself from players and jumped from the same spot so aerial challenges onto him looked 'fair'. It should have been called but you don't help yourself if you don't look like you've moved.

Gonçalo Ramos. No idea why Enrique hasn't brought him on.
