UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - 4/3/25 - 12/3/25

I haven’t been following Bayern this season. How do you rate your chances against Barca?
Will they even make it that far? They're up against Inter first, and with how many bad performances Bayern has had this season I see every chance of them not beating Inter.

Not good. As seen in the group stage they are pretty much the antidote to Kompany ball with their fast wingers and their diagonal long balls.

PSG have little chance in the penalty shoot.out. They have to win in ET.

This game should've been settled in the first half.
Isn’t Donnarumma an excellent penalty stopper?

Won the Euros for Italy IIRC.

Poor penalties by our players. You completely forgot about Saka, Rashford and Sancho?
He stopped them anyway in a high pressure moment. To say PSG wouldn’t stand a chance at penalties is just weird, of course they would.

Liverpool will win this easy in extra time, PSG look out of ideas and Liverpool have the Anfield factor

PSG have a team of young players and bottlers, whereas in the penalty shoot out you can put your house on few Liverpool players scoring their pens (Salah, Mcalister, VVD, Sboz, etc). I fancy Liverpool to sneak it.

He's still pretty decent, obviously a big frame that helps. Looks as though his save percentage in normal time from pens is like 25% which seems pretty good, and he definitely built a bit of a reputation early for saving them. Not sure what his shootout record is like overall though.

(For what it's worth, generally looks like he concedes way more diving to his right than the other side - if it's goes to pens let's see how that plays out!)

Shades of Liverpool v Atletico from 2020 here possibly? Atletico picked them off on the counter in ET very well that night and PSG finally look like they’ve got their act together again after a poor second half.
