Anyone give Juve/Sevilla a chance tonight?

Juve have lost 6 home games in the past 6 years, they have a ridiculously good home record.

They have a couple of important players missing but I still see them getting a draw. If it goes the same way the Spurs tie went they’ll have no chance though, Madrid won’t be as naive

Sevilla have no chance, even if they get a result today they’ll end up going out in Germany

Juventus will be missing Pjanic

I have never been as confident going into a tie against juventus

Which means we're likely going to get creamed tonight

Liverpool knocking City out, then getting knocked out by a Spanish side

Louvren? or Gomes

Gomez is another injury prone snowflake. He's out. Just leaves Lovren as even Klavan is out. If City are feeling brave our defence is there for the taking. The front three will have to help us even more than normal.

Yeah, it's not looking great with Lovren there against that fluid high pressing attack. Can can maybe play there but you need him in midfield.

Can is injured too! We literally dont have an alternative to VVD and Lovern! Its precarious when you consider RB as well. Do we stick with TTA or bring Clynne back into this cauldron.

What? You don't have Can for that game? So will the midfield be Wijnaldum, Henderson and Milner? I'm one of those reds who would prefer you to get knocked out of the semis rather than see City potentially navigate that to the final (I think they are a lot more likely to win the CL). Given the players that are out for you I can see City finish the tie tomorrow.

I would prefer Hendo, Wijnaldum and Ox because the latter two were rested. Plus Ox's strength and pace will annoy Silva and KdB when they're supposed to be covering him. Like they failed to do last time and gave him a free run and shot on goal which he gratefully accepted.

We’re looking a bit thin on the ground all of a sudden.

I can see City getting a score draw tomorrow and then beating us in the second leg.

Matip has been the worst of the lot as far as Liverpool CB are concerned atleast that's what the folks at reddit are saying.

I forgot Ox. He's not been bad for you has he.

I think most would rather go with Matip over Lovren. Especially given City's high press.

His form has been inconsistent whereas you’re kind of gambling with Lovren. He could be really good or he could cost you a game on his own.

The two extremes of Lovren make Matip the safer option in my opinion.

LOL, love it.

Be careful though, the right honourable member for Benzema aka Pasillo will now write a small treatise on how Benzema is the most complete and talented forward in the game, complete with heat maps and metrics. You've been warned.

Who do we want to win then? Gonna say the scousers, couldn't fecking bear City winning a real treble and doubt the scouse will get any further than the semis.

Lovern's performance for me is almost entirely dependant on how lenient the referee is. If the referee cracks down on him he struggles to perform to any sort of level without his aggression.

They can't win a real treble. They're out of the cup.

He is but he's much better than Lovren in a high line.Lovren is the superior box defender though.

It should be this midfield, preferably Can instead of Henderson if possible. Milner is great against the dross but in high energy transition games his lack of pace at this level exposes us.
We conceded twice when he came on against City last time, they bypassed him with ease.

I’ve always found him to be better when he’s keeping things simple.

When he tries to be something he isn’t (like a ball playing CB) he’s useless.

Is Milner able to play RB?

Not played there for us anyway nor I dont remember him there for City either. As you know he has played left back but now is probably not the time to move Robertson. Besides, Milner will probably play centrally as he is the most disciplined in that position. Wynaldum was dross again on Saturaday though he usually fares better at home. Other than that it will probably be Ox and Hendo in midfield along with either Milner or Wyn.
When you write them down on paper, one cant help thinking that Klopp has a lot of work to do this summer!

Yeah, with hindsight that was a dreadful substitution that almost cost us. The 4-3 scoreline flattered City that day.

Juventus don't really play a style where they cream anyone in Europe but they also don't get creamed. They are a tough team to get a result against even when they are away.

it is generally true in CL except for Barca last year and Chelsea or Celtic a few years ago. Very nervous about tonight , Pjanic is a big absence but Bentacur is class I hope he can perform at his potential. With Real as usual it will be a very tough game, luckily it is not a final :)

LOL I was gonna say this! For some reason some have fooled themselves into thinking Matip is a top defender, probably because they are comparing him to Lovren.

As far as I see it, if Liverpool want to be the best the only one in the backline staying is Van Dyke. Clyne was pretty good, but I have no idea what's happened to him, their fullbacks currently are good squad options but not at the level of top fullbacks.
