Yeah the Mbappé thread is full of ignorant posts from November about people writing the obituary on his career and a lot of agendas against Ligue 1 saying that he could do it there and not against elite opposition. He’s got 3 in this tie, if he gets 2-3 against Leverkusen/Atletico and they go through all of a sudden he’s probably favourite for the Ballon d’Or.
The 'he's only done it in Ligue 1' merchants were the most baffling. As if he isn't already the seventh highest goalscorer in Champions League history and very likely to end up being the top World Cup goalscorer of all time. Bizarre.

Pep will have no skin left on his head after this dicking.

All of their new signings look average to completely out of their depth.

6 - 2 shows how far away they are from the big teams now.

Oh absolutely, that would've been a challenge. This PSG -> RM route is anything but.

Yeah, exactly like Pep. Can Mbappe and Pep do it playing for Stoke City? Winning is so easy when you are already in the richest club in the world.

(This is sarcasm. I find the arguments of this type ridiculous. Yes, Real Madrid is the best, but you don't play for them if you are not one of the best. They don't do "patience". )

Meanwhile Juve equalizes in Eindhoven and is now in total ahead again. The only close match today, it's also worth watching (actually I watch the conference).
But I get that you guys want to laugh at City full time

Yep, especially as Ligue 1 is one of the best ‘feeder’ leagues for the Premier League out there for talent, if anything excelling in Ligue 1 is as solid sign that you will do well elsewhere as any other league.

... Ligue 1 isn't an awuful League at all, leaving CL aside

Don’t know if anyone is watching the PSV match, but it truly sounded like a bomb went off, and I can’t think what else it could have been.

Can't believe Pep just threw all of the new boys into this. KdB may be massively off the pace... but logic behind Gundogan starting anything is just mental to me.
