UEFA Champions League 18/19 Matchday 5 fixtures (27th - 28th November 2018)

Roma would have beaten us tonight if Dzeko and Pellegrini were fit btw. We're an atrocity. Zero intensity, zero hunger, zero urgency, zero focus, zero desire. It's like the players have to to the club in their kits later and don't want to sweat in it

Ligue 1 is no farmer league . Lyon have gone toe to toe 180 minutes with a City team absolutely obliterating the PL. And won on aggregate score. Put some respect on ligue 1 name.

That is some impressive stats for midfielders playing against City, innit? Maybe we should look into buying these guys
Ndombele is someone i've mentioned in the transfer forum for a while now. We need to make the player and Aulas an offer they can't refuse cos he's gonna be a huge asset to whoever signs him.

I think Aouar has the higher ceiling and will end up having the better career but Ndombele fits Man Utd and Mourinho way better. Would like very much to have him at Old Trafford.

The fact than your team is pretty crap in CL and is being pathetic years after years doesn't change the fact than the Ligue 1 is a Farmer League.

Indeed. Real were shit. It was just the case of Roma being naive.

Ronaldo has been incredible for Juventus. His all round play has been superb. Best movement I’ve ever seen from a footballer.

A lot of people thought Madrid was elevating him. It was the other way round. He was by far their best player - The likes of Modric are good but not even close to Ronaldo in terms of impact.

Brilliant. Even more impressive that they have these numbers against City. I don't remember when was the last time a midfielder attempted 80 passes vs Pep side.

Kind of weird that if Shakhtar beat Lyon they knock them out from CL, even though they pretty much outplayed City in 2 games.

Needs to be said: he hadn't been anywhere near this good at this point of the season since 2014. For whatever reason, he looks 4 years younger right now

They played them off the park. Should have won by a couple of goals.

Pep’s teams are still ridiculously vulnerable to teams that can attack space.

Think Inter are in for a brutal game if Tottenham played like they did against Chelsea. Hopefully i am wrong.

Aouar is the Coutinho replacement we need. If City are all focussed on De Jong, we might have a chance to get him.

Quite anxious about tonight's match. I'm always looking forward to big european nights, but at the same time my hands get a little sweaty at the thought of Neymar and Mbappe running at us. Either way, it should be an interesting match up.

Would be pretty difficult to replicate their best performance of the season 3 Days on. Especially with the way they were pressing.

Aren't they out injured?

We're not winning tonight. Expecting Napoli to win vs RSB, then a fight between us & them at Anfield for that final qualification spot.

(Assuming Napoli win)
If we win tonight, we're through.
If we draw tonight, we only need to beat Napoli.
If we lose tonight, we need to beat Napoli by 2 goals or more.

With that in mind, I'd take a draw now.

Ronaldo at 33 years old still comfortably a top 3 player. His longevity is just madness. Dude debuted for Utd in fecking 2003!

We could win 1-4, we could lose 4-0 - could go either way imo. I can't watch tonight but I'm not even nervous or anxious as no scenario will see us eliminated, while I can see us rising to the occasion against Napoli at home.

Both trained and Tuchel said they should be good to go.

Not as far as I’m aware. Wouldn’t mind if they were.
Wow! I know how you feel. Only a few days back there was the possibility that they wouldn't play and now its all changed.

In any case I think you are a very good side and gotta be honest with you, as a neutral and a United fan, I'd much rather have them start for PSG than not.

All the best!:wenger:

PSG Liverpool will be an interesting game. Two sides who have spent an awful lot of money.

Score draw for me, 2-2. Liverpool's front three will have chances to create danger, if they play high on PSG, expect Liverpool to try and play a quick ball through the PSG defence.

PSG will dominate the ball I think and if Liverpool allow Neymar, Mbappe etc too much time to create, I feel they will do.

I don't have time to watch the Atletico vs Monaco game right now, but i had a quick glance at the lineups there. Is Henry really using Golovin as a forward in a 4-4-2?.

We spent 90 million on midfielders and we're still lining up with Henderson, Wijanldum & Milner.

I suppose Klopp trusts them.
