U21s: Manchester United vs Everton

Well exactly, I think more than youth Lvg doesn't want undercooked players to play competitive matches for United. If Wilson and Lingard had a couple more U21 games under their belt he would have probably chucked them in
James Weir has just said that, they train all week and then there is no game for them to play. Their next game is in a months time. I presume that is because of the international breal, but as a lot of our players don't get chosen regularly for their countries it is not helping them.

What a pass from Goss. And that Fosu-Mensah looks like a tank.

Nice goal from Weir. I like the pass from Harrop in the build up,

Silk and steel from Harrop. Nice finish from Wilson. It's a shame he didn't go on loan as PL clubs were rumoured to be interested.

Surely J. Wilson could recover and be on the pitch for Ipswich game?

That's exactly the whole point but obviously people will keep banging on about how we should play a strong team in the mickey mouse cup or how Rooney will benefit from scoring a few again a micky mouse team, as if he didn't do that already against Brugge. We will be knocked out by the first PL team we face in the COC anyway like the FA Cup last season, so whatever. And watch players get jaded when December comes due to the lack of rotation.

You think games played in the Carling Cup this season will make the difference between any young player developing/not developing as hoped? Seriously?

If the issue is playing too little competitive football than they need to go on loan, obviously. If they willl benefit more from continuing to train at United then whether or not they play a handful of Cc games all season makes feck all difference.

What on earth were the midfielders doing then.. Looked scared to pass forward.

Anyone else sad to see such a lack of interest in potential future players on the caf?

Would love to see some GIFs of the goals if someone would be so obliged to do so
