U21s: Huddersfield vs United

Is this the same cup as the U21s play Vs Altrincham next week?

Bit confused by all these new competitions

This was EFL Trophy - PL2 teams and clubs from League One and League Two

Alty is National League Cup - PL2 teams and clubs from the National League

Similar but different level of opponents.

Ah ok - I'm hoping to be at the Alty game

There’s two things wrong with that final sentence. The idea that you’re a better judge than the coaches at the club re who does and doesn’t have a future at the first team. And the idea that youngsters who may not end up good enough for a long term career at United aren’t sometimes needed as an extra body in the first team squad, either on the training pitch or as part of the matchday squad. Maybe he was tearing it up at training in the weeks leading up to his involvement with the first team and that pushed him to the top of the pecking order at the time?

If they think Ogunneye has a future as a first-teamer, which I don't think they believe, then yes, I know more. The second point was the one I argued about. He was never going to play, and if the player isn't going to play, you can as well have a player who has a future here or potentially has, Ogunneye fits neither criteria. Amass and Kamason, for example, potentially do. There is only one reason Ogunneye was on the bench: He is older than Amass and Kamason. I don't buy the age stuff either, I do agree that Amass isn't quite ready to take the step up and play regularly at first-team level but look at Barca. You need to give them the chance, and a place on the bench is a pretty good step for that. Hopefully, Amorim will give our talented youngsters a chance.
