U21s: Huddersfield vs United

Shame to see Kone limp off.

We've signed some promising looking youngsters recently but most of them, apart from Obi-Martin, have had a slow start to their United career one way or another. Thinking of Kone, Plunkett, Lusale, Overy (unlucky with injury).

Very early days for all of them of course.

Good result so far at HT. A result that would deservedly get us through. Hope we can see it out as it would be a real shame to go out - and largely due to missing so many players because of the schedule arranging it for an international week.

Harrison is comfortably better than Mee or Myles.
Harrison can be erratic too. Myles is very good, he's just a bit on the shorter side. Murdock is also looking like a good ball playing GK, but also very slight, hopefully will grow a bit more.

It's interesting to hear how well our youngsters are doing compared to most of the other U21-teams

Was watching mainly for Malcia amd Kone. Both have been fine, of course with the latter having to go off.
The rest of the team have done pretty well vs Huddersfield. A decent watch.

Murdock is probably the most solid of the goalkeepers - not the one with the highest ceiling, but he is generally solid. He is a Les Sealey :)

Nah, Myles made plenty of mistakes when I watched him last season. Harrison is everything you want in a ball playing keeper. He'll take risks but he was very impressive compared to these two, atleast for me.

Commentator just mentioned the EFL (autoglass) cup final Huddersfield I got taken to in 1994 by my dad trying to get me to support Huddersfield

Think that one was a penalty too.. that goal was deserved for Huddersfield.

Totally outplayed. Binnion, is he good enough? To be fair, though, it's not a great squad he has to choose from tonight. It's bizarre that Ogunneye has been with the first team so much.

I think he isn't the right man for this important job, but not the issue (insofar as there is one) tonight

Not really - because we have so few full-backs who are injury-free
