U21s: Altrincham vs United

Disagree. These players need to be tactically flexible and able to play in not just one very specific system. Stuff like this is why a lot of people say football is becoming 'robotic'.

Youngsters at this level need to be able to problem solve themselves and not just have a pre-planned routine of what to do once they get the ball.
I agree youth should be flexible and learn more systems in their youth education, but the u21s is the final step to the first team and should give them some insight and routine of what is expected of them in the first team.

Ennis has now provided 6 goals & 3 assists in 5 games against senior opposition this season. Definitely one who will be looking at a loan in January.

Very enjoyable watch.

Good performances from a number of players. I was pleased for Ennis that he got his hat trick. All three nice finishes.

Don’t watch enough of the u21’s but some great goals from Ennis there. How far off first team is he?

Realistically - still far. I rate him, but i feel he is a bit too limited to have a proper chance at a club who wants to be near the top of the Premier League. He is quick, direct with a good shot - but he also needs space to really be effective. Against a very defensive team, he would not have the same impact.

Yeah it's actually why I think he'll take time to make it here. He's kinda in the Elanga trajectory, he needs game time and his growth will be steady and probably not substantially fast, but I think he could become an effective rotation player. Just imagine him coming on after tired legs and let him run at defenses which is probably his best chance at cracking the team.

Good match - ground was busy but I'm sure a lot of tickets went to waste

a half decent atmosphere in the Away end but it was unsegregated so United fans were spread all over

With a few away for Internationals, was hoping we might get a rare sighting of Malacia in the wild or even few mins for Chido but unfortunately not

The kids did well to deal with some dodgy tackle attempts, could see the difference in technical quality

Goals coming on the transition is maybe still a reminder of Ten Hag

Ennis obviously the stand out - wonder if a Jan loan might be a good idea ?

Amass had some moments of class but didn't step up as much as I hoped
