Seems to be scheduled Live on MUTV tomorrow.

Still a couple of hours to go, i think.

Hopefully there are rivers. Once one station starts to river it, others follow.

Line-up: Sutherland, Grimshaw, Evans, McConnell, McNair, Pearson, Barmby, Weir, Byrne, Pereira, Dæhli

Allesani is supposed to be a good talent at palace.

Bloody hell Palace have a couple of players who look closer to 25 than 18.

Didn't know about this, just put it on how we playing? Excited to see Mitchell along with Harrop as part of the fold.

There's nobody on the same wavelength as Daehli. He has tried to make some diagonal runs and play give and go's but never seems to get the ball back from anyone except Pearson.

Pereira has made one run on the counter with the ball but has largely been uninvolved.

Who's that palace dude with the Afro? Has he played well? Just saw the highlight of him carrying the ball the length of the pitch.

Very Good dave from Sutherland there, the defence just gave the striker free passage into the box.

First time ive watched the u18s impressed with the standard but it plays more like a sunday league game. Really different playing style

I find it pretty cool that teams celebrate like mad when they score against our youth team to be honest. Certainly shows that it is a certain level of competetiveness at this level.

Because there isn't multi-millions of £££s at stake so there's no point in one team playing all out defend and trying to steal points?

For sure. Its just strange seeing a game where it looks like it could end up 6-6 bith sides have had great chances already in this half. Refreshing to see but also you can see why its hard for players to make the step up to the PL because theyre pretty much playing a different game

We score. Pereira rattles the bar with a free kick and then Byrne has an open header.

What a cracker of a freekick by Perreira. Byrne scores.

But what were you expecting? At this level it's all about technique and improving their level of play, not playing to defend leads.

U21's are usually better organized than U18's.

Palace has been getting pretty physical this game too.

Im not saying anything negative about it as a spectacle its enjoyable. I though United would have had a club wide policy of the same formation and tactics though because it makes it so much easier for a player to walk into the first team if hes been training in that role for years.

I know its something Southampton do and you can see the benefits.

Sutherland with a save from a free kick and now another save from a corner. How good is he? I don't know much about our keepers.

With all due respect to Southampton, they're not Manchester United. This level is all about looking for players who can become a player for one of the best teams in the world, not a team who's looking to survive in the PL. we're trying to develop special players with great technique and learning to defend leads is something that will come with age.

It's all about development, not results. Although of course getting results is important, just not as important as player development.
