Manchester United's Under-18s have been the great entertainers this season by smashing 41 goals in 14 games.

Kieran McKenna's young Reds approach Saturday's mini-derby with Manchester City, live on MUTV, in good heart after not only outscoring every team in the Academy league but also hitting the net more often than any of the 92 senior league clubs.

Angel Gomes, Indy Boonen, Tahith Chong, DJ Buffonge and their colleagues all star in our video ahead of the top-of-the-table clash with City, who have also been in tremendous form.

The unbeaten Blues are a point clear of United at the summit of the northern division, so the Reds will be determined to avenge a 2-0 defeat in September, when keeper Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui was sent off.

Previewing the game, McKenna said: "Obviously, the boys have been playing very well and we're in a good run of form. We have a lot of talented players fit and available for selection but we know this one is a really good test as it's two top sides having really good seasons. To take them on here, on our home ground head to head, is something to look forward to.

"I think, in the most of the games, the boys have done themselves and the club a credit and I hope that will continue for as long as possible. Saturday is a bigger test in terms of the strength of the opposition but that's the profile of game we want to see the boys in, to see if they can bring some of that fantastic, attacking football onto this stage.

"We've had a strong group in the last few weeks and rotated constantly. We don't speak about putting a best side out, we rotate to give them all opportunities and I'm confident, whoever we put on the pitch in any given game, will do a good job. The ones off the bench will also be strong additions to the game.

"The way it is these days, the boys will probably be in contact via social media on the different platforms with some of the City boys. I think we've got some internationals who are in the same England squads as some of their boys so there will be that rivalry on a personal level as well between them. I am sure it will only add to the excitement of the game."

MUTV's live show gets under way at 10:45 GMT, with kick-off 15 minutes later, and it promises to be an entertaining encounter between two of the leading contenders for league and FA Youth Cup glory.

Only complaint for me is that Hamilton is on the bench - but other than that, great team!

Not the most exciting 30 mins - but 2 outstanding teams cancelling each other out at the moment

What a player Buffonge is, both as a CM and as a more attacking player!

Warren has been absolutely superb...best player in the first half

He's in great form, Gribbin! He make's things look easy which is a wonderful talent to have!

So happy to see Gribbin in such a form after the injury. Buffonge has been really strong!

Personally, I haven't been impressed with either Chong or Burkhart, our two high profile signings, since they have joined.

Chong seems way behind the British kids technically to me, his close control isn't close to Gomes, Gribbin, Buffonge or Boonen. He is fast, but is more of a 'take a few big touches' kind of player as opposed to the others who can manipulate the ball with lots of little touches. It's early, but in English football, they are speed obsessed, and most full backs, if nothing else, will be able to run fast. Not sure he has enough, and same with Burkhart, who I'm not surprised to see has been replaced in the team of late.

Maybe the British talent is amongst the best now. Van Velzen came from Ajax recently and was rubbish. The likes of Sancho look far more gifted than Chong or other foreign imports I've seen lately.

Nice to see the first team man... I mean assistant manager Rui Faria watching this.
