I think I might be going mad, but could Shaw be a good partner for Frenkie in midfield? It’s been a long day.
Strange signing for another 'prospect' when our current left back situation is probably the least pressing concern with Shaw, Williams and Telles on our books. Also why are we paying more when they agreed to sell to Lyon for 2m less and no sell on clause?
Malacia vs Antony

Is Shaw the new Pogba whom we need to keep adjusting into some position or other to get the "best" out of him?I think I might be going mad, but could Shaw be a good partner for Frenkie in midfield? It’s been a long day.

nice start. reminds me of something
Fantastic read, thanks. Several mentions of his tactical abilities, slotting into auxiliary central midfield positions. I'm guessing that's what Ten Hag finds most attractive.Random piece on him that was posted earlier in the thread.

You can’t do that in this day and age. Much less in the wordplace. The De Telegraaf article from a few days ago alluded to Peter Bosz at Lyon dangling the carrot of regular game time at Lyon as being important to the player. And there was no guarantee he would get that at United with Luke Shaw still at the club.
I would try Telles then, he got work rate. Jokes aside, we need a proper player like Ndidi or that type.
Maybe this is the reason we are not actively pursuing Martinez. Maybe Ten Haag sees Shaw as an alternative, someone who can paly LCB or LB
This is the video that shows him at his bestHe looks good. But now I want Anthony less
I call bullshit on those ‘subtitles’.
Not a good one, but still a far far better suggestion than people asking for AWB to be tried out in midfield.I think I might be going mad, but could Shaw be a good partner for Frenkie in midfield? It’s been a long day.

I don't mind getting it wrong once in a while especially if it means the end of that useless cnut Telles at Utd.That aged well
What the above highlights is the approach of both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot who both utilise the fullback as a weapon in the offensive transition. With ten Hag it's the same and it's why I keep reiterating why it's crucial to have fullbacks who are comfortable on the ball aswell as having the intensity/tenacity to match off the ball.
I can’t help it!

Roberto Carlos is 168cm. So, this guy has advantage, 1cm!we were led to believe that but I never saw it, I mean he scored that one volley but I thought we was getting a Roberto Carlos type left foot. Tbh I wouldn’t be arsed if either him or shaw left The club.
Might be the only reason he goes to Lyon if he wants guaranteed first team football. Highly doubt he’d want to come here to play second fiddle to Shaw.
It’s 5 sub in EPL next season. Everyone will get plenty of minutes as long as they perform.Might be the only reason he goes to Lyon if he wants guaranteed first team football. Highly doubt he’d want to come here to play second fiddle to Shaw.
Try and get to watch games in futureI'd love us to sell Shaw and keep Telles as backup. Believe in this yuice.
I've never seen the kid play so I can't comment on his quality, but I see he's only 5'7" and that's a bit concerning. EPL football might be a bit of an adjustment for him.
Reminds me of those fake subtitles that went viral about Mourinho and Kluivert’s son ffsHe looks good. But now I want Anthony less
