Tyrell Malacia | Man Utd player

Feck yes, go get 'em Tyrell. You'll never wa....

ahum.

Good luck mate.

he'll probably need some time to adjust, but he strikes me as exactly the type of FB we need to sign. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

I like the comments he made, sounds like he has a good attitude and really wants to do well and learn all he can

I have heard of favourable comparisons to Evra, if he turns out onluy half as good as Pat it would be a good signing. On to next one!

I've no idea about him - what do people think?

If he's a rb or left back can he
A) defend
B) get forward and actually create attacks like TAA etc do

from the Telegraph article:

It is said of Malacia he has ‘zero interest’ in social media, which should please the Old Trafford traditionalists who think recent purchases have been more image than substance.

 love him already.

Glad to see a deal get over the line. Hopefully this guy can develop to do good things for us. It would be nice to have a real attacking outlet from full back again. If Shaw is anywhere near his best, then Malacia has a real battle on his hands to get in the team.

Good news. But I do not see him as a player, who makes United a stronger team right now. Hopefully he will become an important player in a couple of years. But for now I expect a player, who is about the same level as Telles.

Young enough to earn himself a testimonial if he does well.

Yay - we fixed a problem that was minor!

If you think LB was a minor problem, you didn't watch last season. Shaw is guaranteed to miss at least 15 games a season and Telles is for sale.

When Shaw is out injured for a period and he will be you'll be happy Malacia is here and you don't have to see Telles.

Shaw - Total Games Missed the last 3 seasons
'21/22- 20
'20/21- 12
'19/20- 19

So you can pretty much write Shaw off for at least 15-20 matches missed due to injury.

Just waiting for someone to create the "Shaw as a CB thread". No seriously, if he can hit the ground running either Shaw will push himself get to his superb Euro form or might be as well be tried as a CB. Has got height, great first touch, composer, drive with the ball forward well, decent vision and pass.

Also at 1,85' he's coming out very decent in the air too, at least compared to the "modern" CBs we have been linked to as of late. Just can't get his phat arse up and down the flank often enough but that won't be a problem at CB. One thing is for certain that we don't have to see tragic Telles every other week or even on the bench.

Should get some money for Brandon now.

He looks genuinely happy he joined United.
As opposed to Frenkie who will probably rock up to the press conference in a Barca kit and handcuffs representing how he was transferred away from them into a prison, with "SAVE ME" tattooed across his head.

Probably wont comment about coming to biggest club in the world too. :(

Announce Eriksen!
Announce De Jong!
Announce Martinez!
Announce a striker...

Sounds promising but they all say that when they first sign. Needs to mix in with the right group of players. At least pogba and lingard aren’t there anymore to show bad example.

Strange first signing all things considered but won't complain as long as there is many many more to come.

Hopefully he absolutely bursts into the scene

Welcome to the club Tyrell! Seen him play a couple of times and have been impressed with him, he looks a player with the potential to become a top full back if he’s willing to work hard for it.

Left back isn’t the most pressing of positions though it’s by no means a waste of money. We have quite a number of players who can play that position but between Shaw’s injury woes and Telles who doesn’t quite meet the standard, there definitely is potential for a player to oust them two, however we do need to sell existing left backs like Telles and Williams. Also, it is the remit of the club to identify players of Tyrell’s profile, when one comes on the market at that price we shouldn’t let it go.
