Yes i think the journo's are throwing there toys out of the pram as since LVG all briefings of any substance have stopped, I still reckon any delays are due to us wanting to buy the cheapers players first and then go for the likes of D Maria, to stop the cheaper deals from going up in price. I still have the optimism that once a few more signings are confirmed it will trigger a domino effect in regards of announcement, like shaw and Herrera. I would still give woodward 1 more week before really getting worried. Personally i think we are signing some cracking players soon (hopefully).
Your optimism is admirable, but it's not like we have a crack team of transfer specialists on the case so the more protracted things become, the less hope I believe there is in us closing deals for any top-of-the-line talent.

You can play those cat and mouse games when you're at the top and additions would be nice but not particularly essential, but the whole world knows we're desperate and a take it or leave it policy would be shooting ourselves in the foot; I don't fancy us in any 'to the wire' negotiations or brinkmanship.

There will still be the loan fee, and it will be more than 10 million Euros for a player like him in his prime. No way Juventus can afford that much.

10mill loan fee is a cut deal for a world class striker, any team would go for that.Lets not forget, these figures are just made up as of now.

In today's market those prices (if true) look reasonable.
So he thinks Strootman is worth up to £80 million with Vidal at 35. I know Roma said they wanted 80 million but obviously that was bullshit.

An article such as that from a big-hitter like Sam Wallace gives me the impression we're going to sign Di Maria. It's a column with conviction and way above and beyond the usual transfer link from some hack at his desk. He doesn't say we're going to sign him, but such an effort into the possibility of one acquisition leads me to believe the chief football writers such as he and Taylor have been given quite the briefing.

As Ed would say, watch this space.

So the logic that Strootman is 7/10 likelihood to sign even though he is out until December but then Vidal is 1/10 to sign because of a shorter term knee injury just about sums up how ridiculous that article is.

He said they were reporting it was a loan and that the sticking point is the final price they'll pay to purchase him.

Why'd Real loan him out if they can get straightup cash from us. It depends on Di Maria's preference aswell but all the French and Spanish newspapers have reported that this deal is complete for the 1000th time inspite of the PSG chief saying that Di Maria is expensive.

I thought Strootman was back in training? I'm sure I read that on here a few weeks back.

I wasn't agreeing with the reports, just letting you know that there was another tweet that went along with the initial one.

Because the fee payable at end of the loan will be agreed now - and it will be higher than what we are prepared to pay.

No chance he's ending up at utd.

Paul Joyce has put up another article saying we'd be willing to pay £20m (including fee/wages) for Falcao for a season long loan.

PSG will still have to sell someone before they can afford to buy Di Maria next season. It's not like next season, suddenly they'll be able to buy whoever the feck they want.

Why would we do this? LvG is already complaining he has too many strikers. Seems kinda dumb, we're just being linked with anyone and everyone who might be available.

The hint is in the username.

Barney is taking about Falcao potentially joining Liverpool.

Cavani and Lavezzi will be gone by next season.

I'm a Liverpool supporter mate, so by "we" I was referring to Liverpool.
