Your optimism is admirable, but it's not like we have a crack team of transfer specialists on the case so the more protracted things become, the less hope I believe there is in us closing deals for any top-of-the-line talent.Yes i think the journo's are throwing there toys out of the pram as since LVG all briefings of any substance have stopped, I still reckon any delays are due to us wanting to buy the cheapers players first and then go for the likes of D Maria, to stop the cheaper deals from going up in price. I still have the optimism that once a few more signings are confirmed it will trigger a domino effect in regards of announcement, like shaw and Herrera. I would still give woodward 1 more week before really getting worried. Personally i think we are signing some cracking players soon (hopefully).
You can play those cat and mouse games when you're at the top and additions would be nice but not particularly essential, but the whole world knows we're desperate and a take it or leave it policy would be shooting ourselves in the foot; I don't fancy us in any 'to the wire' negotiations or brinkmanship.
