Benitez on Fellaini to Sky Italia: "Manchester returns home today, Maybe there will be more news soon" #MUFC

He's clearly staying in Juve.

No player looking to move is going to talk about how happy they are to stay 'here' in a pic full of his current team mates.
You must not have been here last summer with Thiago :p

In the heat of all of the speculation, he posts this and we have a meltdown, signs for Bayern a few days later.

Won't that mean we are paying them to look after him for a season?

Wages £2.6M, loan fee £2M, we pay then £600K to take him off our hands for a year.

The loan fee is for them surely?!

It's like a rental fee instead of a purchase price I think...

Where are you getting the £600K from?

Actually I see you are subtracting the loan fee from the wage... I'm not sure it works that way to be honest.
I think the loan fee is separate, I may be wrong.

but thats about Barcelona the city, rather than him being with his other team mates, like Vidal is.

he's probably on the phone to his agent in that pic

They rent him from us for £2M and pay £2.6M wages, their cost is £4.6M.

We get the £2m loan fee in, but have to stump up £2.6M in wages, net cost to us £600K, although we are saving £2.6M in wages by not having him here, so we actually save £2M net.

All seems fairly pointless, surely we can make that up in look-a-like wig sales over the season anyway?

There was nothing interesting about it. Van Gaal has said from day one that everyone will get a chance to show what they can do in the Van Gaal philosophy regardless of previous performances.

Well apart from Bebe ofcourse.

I don't get that. They want us to pay half his wages yet want to pay us £4m. Surely he's not on £8m a year. Why not just pay all his wages and no loan fee?
I think the difference is we get 4 mil upfront which can be used else where. So its better for us that way.

and Buttner.
Didn't Buttner himself leave because we signed LVG. I am sure I read somewhere the agent saying once LVG was signed means it was the end of Buttner at United? Something to do with never ever calling him up for the Dutch or something.

I think he means Nick Powell is very much there in plans and in the same boat as Fellaini and Januzaj and that LVG is aware about him already.

There's barely been any info regarding him since he didn't go on tour.

He surely wont turn down being first choice at Barca?

Thankfully looks like we'll have to look elsewhere.
